Numbers on the back of the new shirts are very difficult to see.

The problem with changing the colour is that white or yellow are the most visible against blue, but of course white can't be used because of the white stripes, and so yellow is actually the best choice. Red or black will be great on the white stripes but very hard to see on the blue.

There is an idea that hasn't yet been suggested... sock tags!

Not just different numbers, but different colours too.

They usually use different numbers for pre season and ds games, for example

El Abd league match worn shirt

Surely those two differ because we were the previous season division champions, therefore allowed to use gold inlay.

I have sent an e mail to Paul Barber about this and suggested at the worst a black outline be put around the numbers. If sufficient people wrote and complained I m sure the club will listen however If I get a reply from him I will post it on here. I have no idea of how the contractual regulations etc are connected to this.

Dear Paul Barber
I attended the Villereal match last night. My enjoyment of the evening was hindered by the fact that in the first half, I found it very difficult to identify our players at times. This was due to the fact the yellow numbering on the back of the players' home shirts was very hard to read against a white and blue striped background.

Could you ensure that the yellow numbers are given a thick outline or introduce sock tags to help the supporters watching the game in future?

Kind regards

It is ok for us older supporters who recognize the players but we must be targeting the young generation and they need to be able to recognize players usually by their number.

Why the hell is it important to see the numbers on the back of the shirts of the players and club YOU support? If you need the names to tell you who the players are then you need to learn who is who!!

Easy on your half of the field, hard the other side. (harder than other teams that is)....... they need a black border round the yellow/gold I guess

No, my son mentioned it, this thread on NSC and the common complaint from my wife's customers who know I am a BHA supporter.
Oh so if you weren't at the game last night, have you based your compliant to the Chief Exec from watching the team in Spain?
