Who advised us to do that? Seems like we missed a trick here.

I'm sure it's true - it's to prevent record companies just sending people round the main record shops and buying 50 copies off the shelf to rig the charts.

There's no point buying multiple copies unless you buy them seperately.

2,000 copies would get us to about no 30.

We have been told many times that we should buy our copy/copies.

From amazon it probably counts as six. From HMV, probably 2.

I think the bulk buying rule only applies if the record is released nationally. As this is a local and limited based release it may well not apply.

It will only apply if they think you are trying to rig the chart. In are case it will be okay.

The record company aren't though which is what it says in the rules

Exactly, we're only buying the CD because we like it / care for the reason behind it. I.E. Band Aid / Elton John's Candle in the wind.

Picked up one from the Seagulls shop and one from HMV. couldn't find them in Virgin

(also got myself a half price yellow shirt and a cut price Zamora DVD )
