I am sure St Pauli don't like fascist, homophobic, racist hooligans either so that is fair enough ;)

Though, you are right that politics should not play a role in football. It is just that ST Pauli reacted against the right wing stance that ALREADY existed amongst other German clubs.

Sounds to me that by your reckoning anyone who doesn't like St Pauli falls into the fascist/bigot category.

The impression I get from fans of other German clubs, the reason for the animosity towards St Pauli is thus; St Pauli claim to be a club of the people, which is all well and good, but they have banned any political displays in their stadium unless they are of a leftist nature....surely that is fascism in itself isn't it?

its odd how down south groups of fans have to try and do something different to create a matchday atmosphere whereas upt north fans in general simply just do it , this suggests a mindset, a certain sense of personal embarassment if ones seen to be singing along to good old sussex by the see ect, whats very striking is the huge difference between Brightons away support compared to its home at Withdean , yep the ground was a pisspoor place to generate a atmosphere but to say there were no games at withdean that did not have atmosphere is tosh , atmosphere needs 2 components an exiting match and the fans willing to get behind thier team ,the trick is to maintain that atmosphere when its not going to plan on the pitch.

im of the mind if we as supporters as a whole cant create a atmosphere in that fantastic stadium then theres something not right frankly, if these lads want to go out thier way and create thier own brand of matchday atmosphere that stays within the law and stadium protocol then good luck to them , looking at where they have chosen to sit/stand suggests they are mostly at the back of the northstand so wont be any big deal for those who may want to enjoy some peace n quiet down the front :) or in the wsu whahey!!

anyhow i for 1 am looking forward to seeing the Always Ultra banners :amex:

Fiar Point Taybha and I agree us down south do have a kind of "embarresment" factor or maybe we just as sociable us the northerners, shame though as I always like to think of Brghton being Bohemian and non judgemental.
I think if groups want to do this and they dont seclude anyone from joining in then good on them, I do feel however we wont need alot to get the atmosphere going especialy firt game of the season I just wish it was this weekend

I've come back home.
Have I missed something here? Football supporters represent a cross section of local society, that is why you get families, thermos flasks and flat caps, teenagers trying to be men and people meeting their friends for a few pints and 90mins of entertainment.

If a group want to be more noticeable than another, want to sing a rubbish song let them, don't belittle them. They are not forcing you to join in, not making you be part of their little group. If it gets out of hand, brings the reputation of Brighton into question then we should start to worry and a bit of self policing will be needed, until then just enjoy the footy however you want.

The seaside.
Confusingly, while NSK use a Nazi style font for their scarves, they use a Communist style font (complete with reversed letters) for their Twitter logo.

I think they might be a bit confused.

i am sure you can see some of the sarcasm behind my posts, no?

Nope, that one must have passed me by I'm afraid.

I sometimes worry when I make a sarcastic post that people think I'm serious. Well actually I don't worry about it, I just wonder.

At work and have no speakers on my computer. Have we actually just stolen a song from them or are singing a song about them? And what is the obsession with St Pauli?

The 'tune' of that song has been adapted by us, yes, and there's nothing wrong with that imho. Pretty much all football songs are based on the tune of something else, just with your own words.

So ours goes...

We are the North Stand / North Stand / North Stand / North Stand of the Albion / Albion / Albion
The Albion of the Sussex / Sussex / Sussex / Sussex by the sea / the sea, the sea...
(repeat over and over)

...and it's great! Nowt wrong with that

Don't normally bother posting on here but that statement just made me cringe so badly I have kicked my nan so hard in the back we have had to call an ambulance.

For all these prannys swearing allegiance to St Pauli - if you speak to a fan of any other club in Germany they will confirm St Pauli are despised by everyone except Communists and extreme Gay rights activists.

I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Andsounds like you don't either. Look forward to your 16th post.....JCL....
