Are we going so far as to query split infinitives?

Or are doing basics like capitalisation, puncutation, grammar and spelling?

Split infinitives are next week I think. But I am likely to somewhat be proven wrong.

Accept and except.

I accept a drink.
I like most wines except Bordeaux.

It's win or LOSE. The word loose is the opposite of tight.

I always thought that easy was the opposite of tight, or am I mixing with the wrong type of people.

I like Merlot, but accept Bordeaux. So there.

There's always the exception to the rule.

In order to minimise frustration by many, please list here spelling corrections and grammar suggestions.....I think I may have to start a scoring system, with the worst offenders sent to the bar to buy pints for those who have learnt the Queens English all proper like!

Let me begin:

It is eSpresso, not eXpresso!!!

Was you interested in English before moving here? ;)

I have been to Bordeaux and as a holiday destination it was acceptable.

There's a difference between JEALOUS and ENVIOUS, apart from the spelling, of course.

Envy is when you want something very badly, but are not in possession of it (e.g. you are envious of someone's achievements). Jealousy is when you want something really badly, and do possess it (e.g. to jealously guard your possessions OR as John Lennon said 'I just a jealous guy').
