Epic. Talk about fine margins.

Kojak, seriously well done mate. Good luck in the Final.

@Theatre of Trees , any chance of a straight 3rd/4th place playoff for myself and @Lindfield23 ?

We could just predict the 3rd/4th Croatia v Morocco game.

I promise that our predictions won't be identical to save you a job! :)
cheers mate
i had literally no idea who had won until i got to the bottom of the page!

I've found these the hardest games of the competition to try to predict

There are so many things that could see the results head one way or the other.
For the 3rd /4th place play off, will either or both teams place their fringe players, how motivated will they be after missing out on the final (remembering England from Italia 90 when they just never looked that interested in winning this extra game after the crushing disappointment of missing out in the semi) to the Final and just how badly the virus has hit the French squad? and if the players recovering will be at 100% if they do play, will key players be missing and how well can their squad players fill in for them, will the occasion get to the Argentina players and will the French having previously won it make the difference?

Quick thanks to everybody who took part - this has been by far the most difficult competition to keep up with, particularly in the group stages with four matches a day, and being the wrong time of year when work is busy and the timings of the kick offs mean missing three of those matches a day.

Onwards to 2024 - its just 24 teams, its summer and their tis time to watch all the matches.

And what an absolutely brilliant job you've done in running this, thank you
A great final match up @kojak, could easily have gone either way.

A VAR disallowed goal would have lost it for you!
Looking back at your tournament recap, and realised just how lucky i got to win this.
There were only 3 players that i would have beaten (and 1 i would have drawn against) with my 2nd round predictions, and i was fortunate to face one of them (also helped by my opponent missing half the games in that round)

Even more so when Reddleman outscored SK1NT 17-5 in the final two group games to overcome a 10 point deficit and move into second place - otherwise he would have faced you in the Second Round.
