my mate painted them and he is an oxford fan and wouldnt paint rogers out of principal but this is the man who drained his toilet so he could put the panini swindon stcker on the bottom of the thing so he could always shit on swindon.

When I was growing up we actually did have a portrait of a famous person hanging in our house: we had a painting of RSC director Sir Peter Hall. It's now in my mum's house and no doubt will pass to me in due course.

Not the first person I'd choose though - I'd have Patrick Leigh Fermor if it were up to me.

Years ago I visited the house where a mate of mine lived in Royston, his Mum had a huge photo portrait of George Best in the front hallway, distinctly weird I thought.
I've got a VIP holding a lamp..painted by Millais I think.
