Just noticed your join date, so i suppose it is something that you genuinely dont understand.
Although the other replies you have recieved are correct in that it is something that has been posted before, it came about years ago because so many people used to start threads or ask during threads "when are the fixtures out?". It happened so regularly and really became a bit boring.

So now if someone starts a thread that has been posted previously it will usually be greeted with "fixtures" within the first few replies, or if someone starts a thread that they feel may have been done before they will quite often say "excuse if fixtures"

I used to lurk as NSC was good for info on away games, it was the Train Strike Thread that reeled me in and got me hooked :smile:
