Hi guys i dont post on here much but i have the facitily to set up a tournament online which i can organise if you want

I think online is a good idea but it doesnt have the same appeal, i know it's easier for people who would not want to attend but doesnt do it for me

Agreed, Pork.

In the spirit of REMF, it would be nice for everyone to get together and raise a bit of money for the fund.

Who normally organises the REMF events? has this ever been done before? ill speak to the people who run the hall this evening and see what they say. i'm sure they wont have a problem with it but then again i may be wrong. they know nothing about this yet, obviously thats if people would be happy to go to Henfield and play? rough numbers would be good, perhaps this needs a poll

The Large One and Uncle Speilberg have a lot to do with REMF stuff I believe?

I think we will get a decent enough turnout if it comes off!

I don't think we could estimate the numbers to be honest.

If properly advertised I'm sure we could get at least 30 of us, and that would be a very conservative estimate.

All depends on where, when, how much etc.

I like the idea of £10 buy-in, with £5 going to REMF, with perhaps a possibility of a £5 re-buy in the first hour, half of which goes to REMF.

I have spoken to the caretaker of henfield hall and they would be happy to hold the event but as the hall is a charity they would have to charge a small fee for the hire of it, this would depend on the amount of the people that would play due to work out what sixe hall would be required

I don't mind re-buys, but only when you limit them to one per player. Anything more and it gets a bit silly.

From the other thread: Just an idea guys but there is a company called apple poker who run venues at pubs in Brighton.

If you get 10 people to sign up under your name you get £100 (you have to wait a few months for the next finals to get it). I've currently got 3 signed up so would need 7 more.

We could donate that £100 to REMF. If we get 20 people its £200 and so on..
