It means I am qualified to do my job seemly

IT Information Library its called...its all about Change management,Programme Office, IT Project management, Serviec Desk etc etc.

Its actually pretty good stuff

http://www.itil-itsm-world.com/

My company have just enrolled me to do it.

I'd never heard of it until a couple of weeks back. Is it worth while doing? Do any employers (other than public sector and mine obviously) recognise it? Is it hard? What pass rate do you have to get to achieve it?

I'm not overly excited about doing it to be honest, I know it's doesn't hurt to have these things on the old CV (I'm doing Prince II as well) but I'm more of a get your sleeves rolled up and do it kinda guy. Project management seems a load of old bollocks to me that just makes work for works sake.

Documentation is ok but what ever happened to blagging it?

The course is a bit oevrbearing if you dont actually do any of it in your day to day....on the flip side, companies do things a certain way that ITIL doesn't, so coming at it "clean" may help[.

The foundation is 40 questions, multiple choice and you need to get 26. If you PM me your email addy, I will send you through the course stuff I found and the revision notes.

He didn't say that people who disagree with him are spastics. He said that anyone who thinks Adams should be sacked is a spastic, which isn't too far wide of the mark.
I supposed that it would be more correct if he had said that their IQ is probably less than a spastic.
Stephen Hawkins is what most people would deem a spastic, nowt wrong with his IQ though. Just because people are in a chair doesnt mean they are stupid

No, Dave ... post the course notes on this thread. It's a useful diversion from the witch hunt.

its about 12 PDF files....I think Bozza would BAN me for taking up all his bandwidth

That's my point, although I'd disagree about hawkins as he is physically disabled. If you asked any mentally disabled person if they think mickey adams should be saked in september having only just taken over, they would probably all have enough common sense to say that he shouldn't.
I find it hard to believe that there's not a few people, at least, who post on here that have a severe personality disorder or learning difficulties.

Done!

Thanks!

Now stop this sensible nonsense and lets get back to calling each other names!

He called NSC users window lickers for having a poll about whether Adams should be manager.

I hpe the BBC sack him for making such a crass comment. Whether it was aimed at NSC or anyone else, it shouldn't have been said and hopefully will not be tolerated by his bosses.

He should know better than to use such a term on a radio broadcast (or anywhere, for that matter).

I do however find it quite interesting how something like this can spiral out of control. As far as I can see events have occured (roughly) like this:

1) Harty makes comment, heard by 500ish people
2) Thread is started on here about it and seen by another 500ish people
3) Simon Barrett reads thread on here and writes story for argus which is seen by 100,000ish people. Someone at argus also tells mencap and asks their opinion. Headline writers express outrage to make it front page worthy.
4) Nationals pick up the story from the argus

true true.

there's also the step that says that someone on nsc (probably) was vicious enough to formally complain and get the fellas sacked.....

You missed out; 3) BBC suspends presenters.

I'm not sure the thread on here caused it, but 'p/c' disabled charities complaining might

I'd like to know at which point that actually happened. Was it after the show because the producers knew they'd cocked up? Was it after someone complained to the BBC? Was it after it made the press, forcing the BBC to act as they knew they'd been rumbled?
