The more the merrier welcome as form suggests not all pledges will be honoured.

If we do have too much, options would be, I guess:

i) Just give the whole lot to the club anyway.
ii) Roll some over for next year.
iii) Give to REMF or similar worthy cause.

Can we now choose who to sponsor seeing as we have enough cash?

Spare cash should go on NSC Christmas Meet-Up

Hadn't we better be 'booking' a player before long?

Agree with Bozza that we should wait until we sign a new player who will be a first team regular.
Or our choices might be between Guy Butters and Dean Hammond.

Butters has a kit sponsor (Grate fireplaces)

Ben Roberts hasn't got one yet

The new squad numbers are on the official site and if you click on the names it tells you who is sponsoring them.

Not sure if the sponsor info is up to date though as the squad numbers have only gone on today (no number 11 or 25)

Even if the other causes are worthwhile, this is a Sponsor a Player thread.

If the destination changes after the money arrives, then next time such a thread is started, donors might not be so eager, whatever the cause.

There is nothing to stop Bozza just having rather a good holiday; I knew that when I clicked the transfer button, and I did think, and still hope, it would go directly to Sponsor a Player; the whole thing is totally dependent on trust.

Agree with you zego.Even if we have to wait for a player to be signed we should only use the money to sponsor a player. We can all give to the other good causes as we wish.

I think any money left over should go towards another players sponsorship. Im sure if we were a bit short then another request would make the money up in no time.

I would also like to get Ben Roberts!!

Good to see on the official site that we have a promising striker called Bobby Zamora, though his kit aleady has a sponsor

we really should sort this asap.

it needs to be properly decided if our wedge is going to roberts or another current member, or if we're gonna stick it out for a 'possible' new signing that might not materialise...
