Behind My Eyes
Looks to me that for non-logged-in users page one of the main board is struggling to load 40 or 50 flashy ads that nobody anytime ever wanted to look at. If you're on Chrome and look bottom left corner then you can see the ads all frantically falling over themselves, scrambling to load. HAS to have an effect on the NSC stuff that we, y'know, actually WANT to see

yeah, I noticed this and gave up .... thought it was divine intervention to make me go out and get some fresh air and exercise
I now have blisters

Nsc is unusable on Chrome this morning. I'm using Safari at the moment, but it is still slow.

no problems notices yesturday.
today, with Firefox, getting lots "site not secure" messages. it tries to open a https page rather than http, this may be because some links are misconfigured or a browser thing (but as i say only started this morning). free certs are available to get round this, you shouldn't have but powers that be are forcing us to https where there's a login.

general issue is more likely ads, when logged there are copious amounts of ad traffic going on and one of them (not identified yet) causes a memory spike upto 2GB and above. thats probably borking anyone without an uber machine.

Been getting this in the last few minutes and is pretty unusable (just logged on for the 1st time today) - Also using Chrome (now switched to MS Edge)

Don't know if it is relevant but I did notice each time it happened that there was a message near the bottom left of the screen saying: Waiting for ads.adaptv.advertising.com...

It may just be coincidental?

Ads not rendering shouldn't stop pages loading, however different experiences for different people could suggest it is, since we all get different ads based on what we're being targeted with.

Page unusable on Chrome. ADblocker on does not work 90%, ADblocker off does not work 99% on Chrome.

Delayed by an advert on IE. Slow.

NSC just crapped out using 5GB! so somethings definatly causing a memory leak on the site, its not Firefox because the app and other tabs stayed open. interestingly on restarting, showing 3.5GB in use no adverts were showing. restarted and have normal mem usage and ads are showing. i'd say one of the providers is serving up crap.

certain its ads. in particular theres a banner ad thats yellow and clear misformed, its showing half a stretched graphic. when this is present (or trying to load) the memory use soars. debugger on goes mental with tons of errors, i think its trying to reload, fails doesnt clear, reloads again and so on. have JSON, XML errors.
obvious offending urls are https://vid-io.springserve.com/vd/i?suuid=df5635c3&batch=11

But Bozza says it's working ok for him.

Indeed it is. But I've also said it could be connected to a (rogue) ad. As we all get different ads based on a whole host of reasons, I may never see an ad that you see often etc.

Turning all ads off is a massive ballache, but I might quickly do it to see if it improves things for folk.
