Unfortunately whatever has triggered that can only be found from your end.

Ctrl+Shift+J opens the console on Edge. If you do that, you should see the error message somewhere. If you post that here, I'll be able to take a look, but it may be just one of those one-offs (or few-offs) which self resolves.

Not sure if this helps Bozza. Sorry you are having to spend time on these problems. I am sure you have better things to do on a lovely sunny morning.

Having the same issues as other users have described on my Huawei Android. Just cleared the cookies but hasn't made a difference! Still getting the Bad Request error message.
It's almost certain you've not cleared them correctly as it does fix the issue. There's nothi

Thanks - it looks like Edge blocking an ad.

Details here on MS - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/web-platform/tracking-prevention

You can probably adjust your settings to permit it, or not if you'd prefer not to do so.

I hate asking this because I dread the responses that come back, but if you were getting this:

Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

Apache/2.4.41 (Ubuntu) Server at northstandchat.com Port 80

...can you please have a go on the exact same device and browser combination and report back.

I had this late yesterday my time about 3am BST. On iPad with Safari. Cleared cookies and history and seems fine now

Clearing NSC cookies in any browser will resolve that.

It's neither ideal nor a long-term fix, I appreciate. I'm spending a LOT of time trying to get this sorted for good.
I'd better Google how to clear cookies...

What device/browser - I've got them all to hand.
Just Googled it and cleared the last 7 days. It allowed me to log in, but as soon as I went back to this thread to tell you, it Bad Messaged me again. Back to incognito.

Have to report the same issues on Chrome.

Size of a request header field exceeds server limit (which sounds like a description of Albion’s crosses into the box)

Apache/2.4.41 (Ubuntu) Server at northstandchat.com Port 80
Exactly the same. I cleared my browser history for the last 24 h and was able to open up NSC again, but as soon as I tried to look at a page I was bounced out again using the same text as yours.

Edge has the edge for now, and I promise no more U2 jokes. Songs of Experience was enough.

Good that the stupid wavy line ad thing at the bottom of the screen seems to have gone, along with the absurd response times (15 seconds between keying in a character and it appearing onscreen. I mean, REALLY? ???)

The single stupid ad box that now takes up about 40% of the available phone screen every single time you view a page almost seems like a breathe of fresh air by comparison. Almost. Christ knows what the user experience is like for non logged in users :lolol:

Cleared it on Chrome on Android about 30 minutes ago.

'Bad Request' is back again now though!
