I went for Mitoma. He wasn't on for too long but I thought he changed the face of the game; suddenly, Villa looked worried and the whole momentum shifted.

Also gave away the penalty and did not a lot else - but gets extra points for the YELLOW head bandage 🤕
Don’t agree at all. He was my man of the match. The penalty was very unfortunate and he worked incredibly hard all night, basically up front on his own, playing with the poor Enciso and ineffectual Adingra and Gruda.

Some real touches of class throughout including two brilliant contributions for the Lamptey goal. He also took pressure off the team at times with his ability to hold onto the ball.

I’ve noticed some unfair criticism of him on here lately, think his contribution and ability is being under rated in some areas. He’s a brilliant player.

No criticism from me - just thought it wasn’t quite working for him, I even thought at one point he should have been subbed for Rutter - but he is the one player who can pull off that one bit of magic - which he did last night- I think he needed that as I could see has been getting frustrated in recent games - hence the elbow incident in the Brentford game 👍

Agree, but I think from a game consistency perspective, he is pipped by Lamptey.

He is a brilliant player, but had not been on it for the previous two games, and his lack of contribution had been part of the issue.

Just hope we can keep him for another season.

Lamptey for me. Great goal, worked hard, was a handful for Villa.

Also, I'll never not love those occasions when Tariq puts a guy twice his size on the deck.
