I thought it would be useful if people posted on a single thread what area of special knowledge they had and were willing to share. For example, are you a white goods expert, a car mechanic or a computer expert etc? Are you happy for poeple to PM you asking advice?

Would reduce the number of OT threads asking "Can anyone fix my dishwasher"? (which I posted last week) although I appreciate that sometimes they can be useful to gain other peoples experiences, it is sometimes a simple need for help from a specialist that is required.

I did see that @Titanic , but what I am suggesting is not people advertising their businesses, but NSC users simply stating that if anyone needs help with X they would be prepared to offer advice. one fan to another.

Personally I'm a bit of a jack of all trades, master of none. I did always score very well in my discrete maths exams though

I train nursing/care home and NHS staff on matters relating to consent and capacity to make decisions by residents/patients. A bit specialist but damned important I can tell you. One day it could be your Grandmother suffering from dementia. Who takes decisions for her and what is your role? Happy to share my knowledge.
