OP, I think it is just you that feels that way. This place picks up news before the BBC. I've never known a forum where you get such a complete load of binfests about subjects but then when someone needs a hand, the binfests and the Brexit arguments go out of the window. It's great seeing the views of everyone from all walks of life. I don't even post on the actual threads about the football!

I remember having a conversion with the late great Lord Bracknell about it.

Even pre-Brexit, the far right were able to post on here with the odd ban as long as they didn't cross a line. His argument was they would be debated out. I fundamentally disagreed, since I suspected the new far right were a bit more savvy than the 70s/80s.

Unfortunately, I think I was "right".
