Americas A- Managed by Gus Poyet
The pre-tournament favourites are absolutely frothing at the mouth with talent but it is always possible that manager Gus Poyet could storm out of a match at any moment. Nonetheless there is talent throughout this well balanced squad that contains a genuine World Cup winner alongside a player who was sold for over £100m. Their goalkeeper is possibly the weak link and could cost them later in the tournament. These guys breezed through the first round without breaking sweat. They then went on to absolutely destroy a talented Welsh side in the Quarter Finals
(4-3-3)
GK: David Gonzalez- This ponytailed Colombian lothario played 4 games for the Albion in 2012. He has been capped twice by the Colombian national side
RB: Gonzalo Jara Reyes- This Chilean psychopath has two loan spells at the Amex in 2011 and 2012. He has been capped a monumental 115 times by Chile
CB: Igor- This Brazilian hunk is a current Albion player and when he's not in the club surrounded by honeys he's playing a vital role in Albions defence.
CB: Bernardo- This Brazilian left back played for the Albion between 2018 and 2021 when the Albion distracted him from what appears to be an unhealthy obsession with Red Bull.
LB: Pervis Estupinan- This Ecuadorian is possibly the best Left Back in the Premier League right now
CM: Alexis Mac Allister- World Cup winner played for Brighton between 2019-2023 and is a bona fide club legend. He has also been capped 21 times by the Argentinian national team
CM: Moises Caicedo- Before slithering off to Chelsea like a snake, this Ecuadorian midfielder was one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League
CM: Steven Alzate- Fan favourite, this London born Colombian international is as versatile as a Swiss Army knife.
FW: Julio Enciso- Cheeky chappy who is capable of the spectacular, this Paraguayan has bags of potential
FW: Leonardo Ulloa- This Argentinian big man had an excellent goalscoring record for the Albion before leaving for Leicester.
FW: Joao Pedro- This Europa League penalty banger is currently impressing after his big money move from Watford.
Subs: Facundo Buononotte, Jeremy Sarmiento
vs
Republic of Ireland- Managed by Liam Brady & Chris Hughton
Another hugely fancied side who benefit from sheer numbers and squad depth that is the envy of the tournament. The side is well balanced, hard working and talented featuring some all time greats. Breezed through the first round and rolled over their Celtic brothers Scotland in the quarter finals. Could the "luck o' the Irish" keep them going?
GK: Wayne Henderson. Earned 6 caps for the boys in Green despite having a tendency to parry shots directly into the path of an opposition striker. The only Albion player to have been married to an Apprentice contestant
RB: Kieran O'Regan- Played 82 times between 1982 and 1986 for the Albion. Is now a commentator for BBC Radio Leeds
CB: Shane Duffy- Famous pintsmith and reliable centre back who was at one point the clubs record signing
CB: Mark Lawrenson- Up until recently was considered by many to be Brighton's best ever player
LB: Stephen Ward- Reliable left back who the club massively mucked up by not signing him permanently
RM: Gerry Ryan- Legendary midfielder who sadly recently passed away. His son Darragh also played for the club
CM: Tony Grealish- Not Jack's dad but did play 45 times for the lads from the Emerald Isle
CM: Gary Dicker- Languid, cultured centre midfield who not only helped the club survive relegation from League One, was a key part of the club that stormed to the league title
LM: John Byrne- Had 3 spells at the club and was a key member of the side that got to the 1991 Play off final. Was in Irelands squad for Euro 88 and World Cup 1990
FW: Evan Ferguson- Wonderkid who is built like a farm simpleton
FW: Michael Robinson- Was a key member of the 1983 FA Cup final side and later went on to have a good career in Spain where he stayed to become a well respected pundit
Subs: Jayson Molumby, George O'Callaghan, Aaron Connolly, Andrew Moran, Gary Howlett, Paul McShane, Keith Andrews, Colin Hawkins,
