Temperature has gone up very slightly (to zero) but it is still snowing, BBC forecast still maintains this weather will move over & then be a willy shrinking minus six or seven degrees later tonight.
If true I'm glad I'm not travelling over the weekend.....

no snow in BN88 as yet, ground is very wet and already in places seems icy. Cannot see it sticking unless it comes down in blizzard proportions.
That's what we thought when it started in Storrington, but it certainly did manage to settle in the end and was geting pretty thick when I left.
No looking forward to the ice we seem destined to get later...

I'm not ruling out this giving some snow east of here before it moves off, but the key problem will be ice in its wake. This will have washed away the grit on the roads.

A kind of wet snow here now, it's laying as a somewhat icy carpet way down in the grass, but not setting on the cement and gravel.
