Is what you are doing entirely legal?

Just a thought, I am sure club officials read this board.

Good DVD though.

On the ocean wave
Peter Ward...'cos you just have to understand that he was THE Albion legend.

Music from that era...Tom Hark, Piranhas. Memories of watching them live at the Bucaneer.

Now all those Premier League arses use our tune!

When we won Div 2 on the way down flicking through the radio and all that was being played was that David Burns and Express 2 'lazy' song, so I kind of associate winning div 2 with that.

Favourite player Paul Brooker, don't ask.

Entirely not..... no doubt Liz Costa and her cronnies have been crying to the powers at be - like they did with the coaches I ran and got me hauled in to see security bloke etc!!!

As for the club - they have been given a copy of the DVD....

I had that DVD edited, burnt and ready to watch 4 days after the final - what have the club produced to remember that day in Cardiff???

Club ask me to stop I will - can check my PC too if they want- nowt on there :salute:

having received your first effort yesterday and got to watch it last night-

Excellent stuff. Keep up the good work and bollards to the club if they aren't savvy enough to have got something out while Cardiff was still fresh in our minds-if they can't keep a website up to date what hope is there of getting DVDs out?

As for your next effort...a big Albion moment for me was our first game back in Brighton. Emotional return, fantastic sunny day, all those goals and then Micky and Corky went out visiting all the pubs near Brighton station having a drink or two with the fans:clap2:

No music attached to that day other than a very misty eyed GOSBTS. Sorry-don't really have a favourite player of the past 25 years-never give that type of thing much thought.

I'll pre-order mine now please James-whatever goes on it!

I can't see beyong watching the team run out at the first game back in Brighton from all those years out in Gillingham. As far as the music concerened, it has to be GOSBTS. That's a bit of a shit one but that's all I can think of for ya.

Favourite Albion player? Ian Chapman. Cut him open and he'll bleed blue and white.

The return home game against Forest was a great day and Guns N Roses - Paradise City seems ideal to fit that moment, or maybe beating chesterfield to clinch the title with the same song.

Hereford has to be the top moment with so much at stake. We stayed in a pub in Hereford on the Saturday night in walking distance of the ground. Like many of the town pubs, it was regulars only so we were on our own. The owners and dinrkers were great, though I wasn't allowed to wear colours in the evening.

They suggested that we stay there drinking in case there was any trouble. We didn't mind at all as they sold a beautiful pint of 6X (a beer I associate entirely with that game as well) and had a pool table. So we stayed there for the evening. The TV was on in the corner of the bar all night, showing the Eurovision Song Contest.

So the song I associate with the Albion and Hereford is Katrina and the Waves' Love Shine a Light!

That beautiful day in May 1979 when we won promotion to the then 1st Division. So many blue and white stripes and for a boy of only 10 it was just pure magic. The UK number one at the time was Bright Eyes by Art Garfunkel, so I have always remembered that track with that game.

beating swindon at the death, thought we were dead and burried! coz then we knew we were going to cardiff, the rain started pooring after we won too, added to tension. track - fat boy slim come along way! although i did well like that track that the players were coming out of the tunnell to in cardiff.

Anyone remember Slade recording some crowd shots at the Goldstone in front of the North Stand? Can't recall the song for the life of me. Or did I dream it?

No.

They made a promo (as videos were called then) for their single "Give Us A Goal" iin front of a packed North Stand around February 1978 V Wrexham (?)

This from "slade in England" web-site

'Give Us A Goal', ............Give us a break don't you mean?. ' ..where did this pile of shit come from?' could be heard being mumbled incredulously by stunned fans the length and breadth of the country. Was this the same Slade that wanted to be taken seriously by the music press, to get away from the teeny thing for once and for all. Not quite sure which way to go Slade seemingly were careering rudderless out of control by the time they got to this one, At the time being a Slade fan was as hard as selling bacon sandwiches at a bar mitzvah and releases like this did nothing for the credibility of the fans that were left, and quite rightly sank without trace, although Slade would plug this load of old conkers live at the time, even aptly having the roadies throw toilet rolls into the crowd while playing it................utter crap!

As was the b side 'Daddio', which I was desperately hoping would be a belter after listening to the A side, It wasn't.

Slade made a promotional film to accompany the release of 'Goal', filmed on a chilly day at Brighton Football club, (easily the biggest crowd Slade played to that year) . I am sure it must have been shown somewhere, but I never saw it until the release of the wall of Hits video.

Why Chas Chandler didn't use his physique to impose his will and not get involved with the production of this remains unanswered, but the writing was on the wall, this is when it started getting really hard.

Although rubbish, the single attracts good prices now from collectors, as most of those pressed were quickly melted down.
