Lets use one of NSC's marvellous new facilities to find out. I've tagged him.

Personally I think it would be the correct decision.

And whilst NSC is down, he can get rid of some of these shit new smilies and replace them with the working old ones.

That new thumbsup one is bollocks. The sort of shite you'd expect to see on a Palace site. :nono:

The new 'shrug' smiley looks like an 'angry person' smiley. A bit rubbish to be sure.

I was reading about this iCloud thing the other day. The crux of it seems to be that you can store all of your music on one of Apples servers, and then stream your songs over the internet directly into your headphones. On setup, you can upload your iTunes account onto their server and then just keep adding tracks to their server, meaning that (in theory) you'll never run out of storage space like you would on your iPod.

Sounds like a bit of a crock to me tbh. I've come nowhere near running out of storage space on my 8gb iPod Touch. You'd need a MINDBOGGLING amount of songs/albums for iCloud to be worthwhile I reckons. And then if you're out and about, you're entirely relying on a decent 3G connection to be able to link up with it and get a well buffered stream - which if YouTube on 3G is anything to go by, ain't always going to work particularly well..

Maybe I'm missing something and perhaps theres actually a lot more to it, but if thats pretty much the sum of it then its not something I'd be bothering with.

Nevermind that, what are your thoughts on the current crop of gash smilies?

As someone with 2 Terrabytes of movies & music in iTunes it sounds brilliant to me - automatic backup

Vankleek Hill, actually....
I think there's going to be more than that, Easy.

Rumour has it that new Time Capsule's and Airport Extreme's will be able to store everything locally so that you can update over the air locally as well as stream audio and video to your iPod / iPad / AppleTV without having to have your Mac / PC up and running.

Who's going to be first to dare use the new and probably well graphic tosser smiley then?

(Probably the first person to respond to one of Timmy's posts when he gets back from New Job this evening)

Thats the thing, I guess anyone who stores absolutely SHEDLOADS of stuff will find it useful. Personally I don't store very much, so I guess this product really isn't aimed at the likes of me at all. I've got maybe about 700-800 songs on my iPod Touch, and no films (I just get them on blu-ray), so I'm a bit 'meh' about this iCloud.

(And I'd never even HEARD of a Terrabyte. Are they like the Terrahawks ?)
