Our thoughts should be with FREDDY TYLICKI who has suffered paralysis to the lower half of his body after his fall at Kempton on Monday.

Tylicki was one of four jockeys to come down in a pile-up at the track, and was airlifted to St George's hospital in Tooting, where he has been receiving treatment.

Initial reports suggested Tylicki had suffered spinal injuries, and they were confirmed in a statement released on his behalf by the Injured Jockeys Fund.

It read: "After his fall at Kempton Park earlier this week, Freddy Tylicki was transferred to St George's Hospital in London, where he has since undergone surgery to his spine.

"His surgical team have confirmed that Freddy has a T7 paralysis, which means he has movement in the upper half of his body but not his lower."
