Deep down, we all know it'll be third

The most curious thing..
I have no idea where we we will finish, but I feel an incoming wobble.

Personally I dont think we are doing enough away from home currently, both in results and in how we play. If we step it up in that area then I believe top is very achievable but as of now I reckon 3rd. At home I think we can beat anyone and im not worried too much about the upcoming Reading and Newcastle games but like i said away i'm never confident especially as we have to travel to Leeds and Norwich.

Yet we have some plonkers on here starting threads about possible promotion and about looking forward to premier football with their new season ticket price

Seeing as we are second it's not that much of a shock that people think we'll get promoted. Bloody hell you really do have a downer on EVERYTHING about the Albion don't you?

no not at all ,seen it all before , some people have been getting way ahead of themselves again , after what's gone on in previous years some people need a reality check , one game at a time

In the mid seventies, just after I moved to Brighton and started going to games I used to have a laugh with the old codger who collected the pools coupons and money. We were flying under Peter Taylor Mark one and the sky seemed to be the limit to me. This old guy ( reminds me of myself now) always though the Albion would **** up because they apparently always did. Couldn't understand his negativity and we did go on and have five or six fabulous years.

However, having followed this club for over 40 years I now feel exactly like that pools collecter did when we start to wobble. I am sure those who have started following the Albion in recent times cannot understand this negativity any more than I did when I was young. You and I have been following this club too long to get carried away until the promotion is actually sealed PFF and they will all eventually learn to expect us to fail... :lolol:

Our form has dipped a little of late.

But the truth is that the table doesn't lie - we have outperformed pretty much the entire league up to this point!

Every team has ups, downs and wobbles and the two who manages to handle the journey over 46 games takes the prize.

Do not underestimate how mentally strong this group we have are.

None of us can know how this season will play out but I am certain that we will be thereabouts and that we deserve to be.

If the team get nervy then they won't play as well - the least we can do as fans is stay strong and keep the belief.

We have three very tough games coming up - but so have our opponents!

Pleased to see most people have gone for second, not the third I plumped for. I really, really want to believe that this is due to most people knowing much more about football and the Albion than me, rather than some sad, desperate misplaced optimism. I really do want to believe that, and I hope it's true.

We can still win it. Huddersfield aren't Brazil and the Toon are legendary for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Still in our hands and we haven't done too badly so far.

Amazing that 2 have voted we'll finish below 7th !!

1st but that is with hope that Leroy, Bong and Kayal play their parts. We need the strength in depth for a tough last quarter.

Yep and he's clearly had an amazing effect at Villa!

He is not working with the same manager or players at Villa. It may well be that he just clicked in our set up. As Thunder Bolt points out our results since he left perhaps she would concede that we look much more vulnerable defensively now and it is highly unlikely that we would have conceded 3 goals at both Huddersfield and Brentford and then a very soft goal against Ipswich.

Why highly unlikely?
