NSC a soap opera ?

I shake my head in disbelief when I see my family watching soap operas and reality shows like big brother but then I sit down to half an hour of NSC in the evenings (or mornings) to find out how the plot is developing.
Is it any different I found myself thinking last night. We have the same sort of charecters, some likeable, some downright nasty and then we have the tempramental flouncers like TLO.
I`m a little like Pat Butcher for the record.

The difference between NSC and a soap opera is the snogging. It balances the nastiness. Unlike NSC which likes to REVEL in it at times.

What a storyline we could have...

Buzzer and Hiney enter into a bizarre love triangle with Simster which results in Hiney being beaten unconcious with Buzzers straightening tongs and then being buried alive in Hans Kraays allotment...a desperate race against time ensues when Uncle Spielberg and Edna Krebapple are contacted by the spirit of Bozza who tells them that Hiney has only hours to live...Meanwhile Bushy and Das Reich open an ethnic food stall at the open market and tragedy ensues when Juan Albions Head explodes after he takes confession from TLO.
