I can,t see the point of kicking the ball into the opponents half when we have the ball its like a footballer given the ball away WHY?

When you gain 70 yards of territory, Australia always did it, it keeps the other team one error away from giving away a pen or possession in their own half. But our were pathetic box kicks, were caught every time by Scotland. No variation in that mixed with a running game. A cognitive collapse.
