Voted for Dowie, would love Tigana but don't think it's very realistic to be honest. Just can't see it happening, besides as soon as he gets an offer at a higher job he'l be gone. Too many managers have used us as a stepping stone, i don't want another. (i'm not saying Dowie wouldn't, but Tigana is more likely to want another job in the Premiership/Div 1 as he's already been there)

Dowie for a couple of reasons:

We could probably afford him and he's less likely to want a huge playing budget. Plus I think he'll stick around with us-at least until the West Ham job gets offered to him.

He also knows the lower divisions-unlike JT. I also believe he would work well with the current squad.

Whoever it's going to be though, let's hope it's bloody soon!

I agree, that's why Dowie is the best candidate. Tigana achieved very little at Fulham. Sure, he took them up to the Premiership, but who couldn't with all that cash to burn. And once Fulham were in the Premiership, he just blew Al Fayed's money on crap players like Steve Marlet. A decent manager with that much money at his disposal would've been able to turn Fulham into a top six Premiership club, not a shite, boring team who struggled against relegation last season.

He confirmed it on Southern Counties Radio last week.

Jean Tigana has not applied.
So who is the ex premiership manager with champions league experience then? Out with it? Or is it another spin from the club?

My view is that it is probably Roy Hodgson.

However, Mandy's Neighbour reckons it's Christian Gross (although why he would want to leave Basle is anybody's guess)
