after the Colchester United game?

I was actually quite shocked at the vitriol displayed, especially as so much of it came from the North Stand.

I don't personally think that performance was half as bad as most others I've seen this season and the crowd gave virtually no support during the whole game, just a bit of atmosphere and encouragement may have made the differerence as there is no way we deserved to lose that game.

Maybe the booing was a result of 1 point from the last 7 games and 2 wins in 19 games.

What should we do ?. Give them a standing ovation and cheer them off the pitch ?.

I'm with you Icy. No, they didn't deserve booing. Unfortunately any defeat will now get booed despite how well we play.

We clearly deserved to be 1-0 up at half time and Colchester scored the winner from an absolutely criminal mistake by Richards(?) giving the ball away.

2 errors that cost us the game rather than a bad performance. Trouble is it's symptomatic of TOO TOO many games and the goodwill pot has now run dry (what a terrible analogy!). Nice to see someone else on my wavelength though.

In answer to the question...Yes they did deserve to be booed off the pitch!

If not only for the fact that we lost again, but the fact we have a hapless manager and a team who looked like they didn't care at times. I'm sorry, but anyone who accepts Boxing day as a good performance is having a laugh! Has it really come to this? Where we are prepared to accept the shit being served to us, week in and week out!?

Maybe the reason people were booing so much is because of the hard-earned cash they have spent this season only to witness poor performance, after poor performance. Just a thought!

I only wish the booing and 'Adams Out' chants were louder, so he and his players REALLY understand how pissed off most of us are.

But was the booing aimed at the players..?.........or Micky Adams...?.........or maybe even the untouchable.....Dick Knight..?

Well seeing as there were a few chants of 'Adams Out', I would assume that some of it was aimed at our manager. But I booed not only the manager, but the players as well. Imo there were only four players, maximum, who put in a decent shift on boxing day.

I agree. We work hard just to hope a little relief by our team then see hapless game after hapless game from professionals who train all week.

There have not been many unlucky defeats, they have nearly all been deserved and against teams who do not need to play very well to beat us.

Who can forget losing to the nine men of Walsall?

Boxing Day was utterly abysmal and the booing was entirely justified, but only if it was aimed squarely at Micky Adams. You will never hear me loudly criticise a player during a game but Adams deserves everything he gets. I don't blame the players for any of this because they are clearly bewildered by this idiot. Poor Adam Virgo doesn't know from one game to the next where he is gonna be playing, Kevin Thornton must be wondering what the hell he has done wrong, Tommy Elphick doesn't know from one week to the next who will be partnering him in central defence... and we wonder why these people play badly!
