Wilkins et al can go to the press anyday of the week they like.

It is they who are choosing not to, presubaly for their own perfectly valid reasons.

Humour aside, to suggest that (for example) Dean Wilkins "isn't allowed to tell the truth" is a somewhat damning indictment of the poor man as I am sure that very occassionally he has done so.

No doubt there were but to suggest that none are allowed to tell the truth is a bit extreme. Even if everybody who has been moved on by The Albion had gagging orders on them it is likely that at least one of them would leak something to the press.
