Now for the season ticket prices to be released...

So Slade has been given the job on a two year contract, and we are in League 1 for another year after a truly great escape.

I'm just wondering if the season ticket renewal details will be announced very shortly, maybe even tomorrow?

How does everyone reckon they will be priced? Given that we stayed up, but had to witness a mostly dreadful season on the pitch. Will the credit crunch and recession have an effect on ST prices? Lots to think about, and I'm interested to see how the club price it for next season.

What are your thoughts?

Price freeze would be a tremendous gesture by the club.

Why would it?

If anything they should be putting the price down!

Lets not forget we were 90 minutes away from going out of the division. The season has been a big pile of steaming turd! The majority of which was down to the clubs own making.

What?

Surely a price freeze is the minimum they should do.

We've been paying over the odds here for years on the back of high demand and small supply at Withers. Well, now we very rarely come anywhere near selling out, if you are a STH and need to offload a ticket you have to give it away (and that's not always easy).

Add to that the shortage of cash around, and a "price freeze" would still be an unrealistic pricing structure in my view.

If we want half decent crowds we should be looking at a 10% cut, and longer to pay..... but I doubt they'll do it.

People have to be realistic, we are losing money at Withdean. The club can't afford to reduce prices because if they did then not enough more people would buy ST's to compensate for the price reduction. I am sure the club realistically would need to increase ST prices so a freeze would in my opinion be a tremendous gesture.

I asked what the prices would be and have been told we will know asap - would have thought it would have been a good idea to have it all in place whatever division we were in - at least announce the prices and then fans would know what it is going to be before they arrived?

Because, I would imagine, that the division we were in was going to effect what price we would be paying for a season ticket.

The season only finished a couple of days ago and they've obviously been busy since then sorting out a 2 year deal with Russell Slade, If they had announced the new prices before Russell agreed a deal you would've been one of the first moaning about the club expecting the fans to pay a set price without knowing who the manager is going to be. I'm affraid with people like you the club can't win because your never happy.

Actually we were 46 minutes away.

Up until about 1 minute before half time, when Leeds scored, we were in the bottom four!
