July. But if it's hot, you can add in June and August to that as well.

January just about worse than February for me. It's dark, the weather is shit, Christmas is gone and nobody has any money to do anything. February isn't much different but at least with February the days start to get longer.

November is alright.

Yep January not only because I am usually carrying some serious xmas timber at that point but also because it contains all of those ‘what are your new year resolutions’, company year kick start meetings and post xmas enthusiasm that I find draining. I have always booked the first week away to avoid it!

Since moving to Toronto, it's always been April. I'm done with winter by then and all the winter activities are closed for the year but there's still snowy days, or even worse freezing rain. There's not much to do outside and summer weather doesn't usually kick in until late May.

I kinda agree with this. Not with the being done with winter, as it is my joint favourite season alongside autumn. But the lack of activities makes me glum, and the first mosquitoes in late April are the sign I need to hibernate for a few months.

I'm a big fan of November - I like Autumn generally.
November is my sister's birthday month. When I was a kid we would always go to the Clapham village fireworks and have a birthday party afterwards.

Lots of happy memories.

Early Jan is the downer of all downers. November can still have a few decent days...

January, cold, dark and damp.

I often go skiing in January to get a bit of sunshine, but even then it can be sunny and -20. Too cold :(

It has to be January because:

1. The hangover from Christmas week.
2. The cost of Christmas hits the credit card.
3. Shit, cold weather.
4. Tax Return deadline for filing / payment.
5. Spring still a way off.
6. Attendant guilt as New Year's Resolutions lapse within hours of the bells.
7. New Brexit bollocks to deal with.

At least November has fireworks and some lovely autumn days, whilst Feb has half-term holiday, the first glimpse of Spring and it's a short month so you're soon into March and off and running.

November's great. Starts with bonfire night and the time for autumn walks in the crisp air. It ends with my birthday and then we're plunged headlong into the Christmas run-in ...

January, on the other hand, can do one

Love November myself. The leaves on the ground, the darkness, bonfire night. October is good too, but November is like the last "good" month before having to endure Christmas and New Year's Eve and the wall to wall twattery and enforced jollity that can kill all enjoyment.

Blimey, I can't believe the hate for November, it's one of my favourites: Autumn days with the falling leaves, Bonfire night and the start of the lead-up to Christmas. It helps that I don't mind the early nights, I like cosying up in front of the fire.

January on the other hand can **** right off. Post-Christmas blues, cold, and even I've got sick of nights in front of the fire by then.

This. All that build-up to Christmas and then suddenly the January slump. Plus work management always want to kick-off a load of initiatives ???

I love November, Bonfire night, mine (tomorrow), my eldest son's, and my step dads birthdays, then Xmas.

Expensive, but I love it.

November is quite nice in a Hygge kind of way. Plenty of dry, crisp and sunny days to enjoy. Pop a scarf on and enjoy a nice beach walk before heading home for a nice hot meal.
For me Jan/Feb are the worst. Celebrations are over, Spring seems far away and it rains too much.

January, dark and far too cold, I’m not a fan of the winter.
I don’t mind November, especially if the weather is like it’s been for the last few days.
