I watched them play Espanyol, and booking from here it's easy to pay well over the odds. If you find someone local to help, you could save yourself a fortune, even if it includes a tip for the helper.

I've been a couple of times and never had any issues getting tickets after arriving in Barcelona on the day/day before the game, there are loads of ticket sellers in town and the only game that usually sells out is el classico, if you buy on the day of the game you might end up in the top tier and feel a bit like you are back in the 1980s playing sensible soccer, but the experience is much the same, if anything its a novelty being so high.

That being said if it's the sole purpose of the trip you can pay a small premium and buy them in advance too.

Just be careful whilst 'enjoying' yourselves on los Ramblas - i have literally never seen so many and such blatant pick pockets anywhere else in the world, paying 40 Euros for a ticket could be the least of your worries.

Buy along the main drag , the Ramblas when you get there. Still cheap even though they are obviously selling to tourists. Saw them beat Inter Milan 5-0 in afriendly - great atmosphere too.

As long as you don't want to see the Barca v Madrid game shouldn't be much of an issue in getting tickets out there. Atmosphere is strange, bar few hundred no away fans, and I've found it be completely different to anything over here

I saw them beat Cadiz there about 4 years ago, very disappointed in the game and atmosphere or lack of. We left with 20 mins to go it was that bad. Tickets a doddle to get hold of and transport in and out was very good. BUT I cannot stress enough the point about the Los Ramblas.....BE VERY CAREFUL, it really is mugging city, out of 16 of us on a Stag weekend 3 were mugged, 2 of them by african women offering services. DONT WALK AROUND ON YOUR OWN IS MY TIP, we never went anywhere in groups of less than 4.

If that was the 2-0 win, I was at that match, I think I spoke to some of you at Barca airport (Celtic John). it wasn't a classic but I also saw them beat Athletico Madrid 6-1 in one of the best matches i've witnessed in 35 years, the atmosphere wasn't bad either. tickets are easy, I recommend if you are sight seeing, get the of the tour bus at the Nou Camp the day before the match and queue up at the ticket office, otherwise there are plenty of forgeries about or you are paying £40 for a £15 ticket in yer hotel and you find yourself sitting with the stars (and I don't mean, Tom Cruise!) There are horror stories of muggings etc, but me and Mrs Notthe...have been several times and have felt safer than in the West End of London or even West St on a Saturday night..enjoy

Whilst on a stag do there, the stag go mugged twice in 20 mins, miraculously a couple of lads noticed it happen the first time in this bar, gave chase and ended up giving this lad a good slap and getting the wallet back, only for the stag to be robbed again within minutes in the next bar
, he was wasted but still...

Outside on the street is even worse, especially after nightfall, a spanish guy i work with tells me its because its not actually a prosecutable offence if the robbery involves less than 500 Euro- so they dont really care if they get caught or not.

No matter what floats your boat, these 'women' are not the sort that any sane man would have sex with, paying for or otherwise, so when you see them cross the road and keep your hand on your wallet.

That being said there are plenty of lovely women in Barcelona, these are generally not found on los ramblas however

your not wrong, we did a couple of clubs near the harbour and they were top draw full of stunning women. The place is fanstatic, but just be careful is my only tip, only go out with the money your going to spend and leave all cards in your room.

Im not sure, I thought the score ended 1-0 to Barcelona, Ronaldino scored if I remember in the first few minutes, but after that it was a shocker? it might have ended 2 nil, but was 1-0 when we left!!

Saw them against Alaves for a workmates stage weekend. We had a great time. As I recall we picked up the tickets at the ground an hour before kick-off. I suppose it will depend who they are playing on the day. We ended being right at the back of the top tier against the outside wall. Never watched a game so high, cracking view though. If you're in Barcelona you've got to do it. The next stag weekend there we went to their museum which was also very good.

might have been a bit longer than 4 years, last game of the season, Cadiz got relegated, about 2000* of them making a racket in the gods

*I thought that was quite a lot as my understanding is it's about as far as here to Aberdeen

Not been to a game there but went a couple of years ago, absolutely amazing stadium of course and the club museum is worth a visit for sure if you get the chance. Would love to go to a game there.

Been to a game there.

Easy to get tickets via web- they are delivered to your hotel.
Be careful to allow enough time for your flights. Games are often changed for tv and dates could be either Saturday or Sunday.

As said ramblas is a nightmare

Bagdad cafe is expensive but the best 'adult entertainment' I have seen.

Went 2 years ago to see home game v A Madrid. Barca basically sell out their ground to season ticket holders. But of course only the El Classico is the one fans must see. They sell back their unwanted tickets back to the club, who in turn sell onto the general public. This is why if you look at Barcas official site many games appear sold out. But as you get near to the game more and more seats appear (due to the reselling).

So you have 2 options, wait for the official site and buy from there, or do as we did and by from official tourist offices in Barca. Very very easy and you know that you are purchasing an official ticket.

If you are treating yourself, I would buy a seat nearer pitch level. Ours was 90 euro's..............expensive but worth it

We were behind one goal, there were a lot of Cadiz in the city before the game and we became Cadiz fans for the night, singing Cadiz songs throughout the game as the Barca fans never made a noise!. They stag has now divorced that wife and remarried!!! It might have been 5 years ago.

It is a fantastic stadium though and I imagine on a classico night the noise would be deafening
