He thought we shouldn’t have had a penalty because the keeper would have got to the ball so we wouldn’t have scored! WTF!
yeah its as nuts as it sounds. they could make the same argument for not giving a penalty when a player is fouled in the box because he wasnt even facing the goal so couldnt score..

He didn't kick Pedro and was just trying to get to the ball. The final kick looked like it was at Pedro's stomach, however, Pedro made it look like that by rolling and clutching the bloke's foot. Nothing to see here

So you are allowed to go through someones back to get the ball? I think Pedro was clutching at his crown jewels to be honest!!

He described it as stupid because Pedro was going nowhere, the defender didnt need to do anything. Pedro still went down very easily. Anyways who cares, we won.
Pedro was a lot more of a threat tham Hudson Odoi, when he went down cheaply, the floated cross went straight to Verbruggen and was nowhere near him. Got a bit heated in the ground at the end, and think Anthony Taylor and officials main cause. rubbish and Lost control.

Currently on a packed diesel rattler somewhere in Lincolnshire. No idea of when or if we’ll get home. Couldn’t care less. That was the most nuts game ever. Absolutely heroic digging in after stupidity from Dunky. Taylor was awful though. That celebration at the end - felt like we’d win a trophy

It wasn't a stamp, it was the top of his boot that went onto Pedro's back

Maybe the kick after should have been punished ???
Agree, also didn’t think it was a kick as Pedro had his arm around their players ankle.

The push was deliberate, probably one of those yellows if you weren’t carded already but not enough for a second one!

Was with son right next to the red separator thing that divides our fans and theirs. They got pretty pissed with RDZ running on, some dumb fella in a yellow coat, was going nuts, tried to gob at our fans 4 metres away, it went about 5cm and copper grabbed him and hauled him up the back of stand to nick him.

Even more stupid than anything Dunk may have said!

Disagree here I'm afraid.

Their player should definitely have been disciplined for the João Pedro back stamp / kick thing but I thought he largely got it right.

Adingra booked for pulling a player back on a break.
Dunk, lost his head.
Ferguson booked for dissent.
Verbruggen for time wasting.
Missed the Facundo booking so won't comment.

I don't personally think we can complain about any of those.
He failed to punish most, if not all, of the Forest offences. A classic homer ref, added to the fact that he is useless and incapable of understanding what is happening directly in front of him.

Brighton fans singing "he's shit every week......" Forest fans signing "Anthony Taylor is a c**t"

Both sets of fans thought he was rubbish

I’m so glad we hung on, Lewis was daft getting sent off like that, everyone knows what Anthony Talylor is like. It’s difficult when you’re caught up in the moment, especially when you think an injustice has been done (the soft penalty) but you’ve got to use a bit of nouse.

Anyway it gives Lewis a bit of a break to rest those niggles, so you never know it might benefit us in the long run.

Sounded a great atmosphere up there again, they’ve got some of the best support around.

This. Lost control from early on and hated by both sets. The Anthony “corporate appearances available” Taylor show.

From my view ( legitimate television, honest guv) there was an un ncessary foul, some light afters ( atread not a stamp) which was probably provoked, then the defender kicked JP . . . All under the nose of a supposed professional official who did absolutely F**K ALL!

The ref had long since lost control of anything and the game had descended into a shit fest. . . Officiating and game management gets worse by the week.

The fella next to me said exactly the same.

Fans and players were all getting heated near the end, a lot in part that Taylor had lost control.

Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi speaking to BBC Match of the Day:

"It [the result] was a big emotion; we are suffering too much, we have too many injuries, we lost four points against Sheffield United and Fulham at home. To win is difficult; my celebration is because we are suffering too much at the moment."

"We want to celebrate with our fans. If you have the right attitude, you win the game. It is difficult to explain [the injuries]; we are not used to playing so many games. I don't know the reason; we are working well in the week, managing well. Maybe it is not enough."

"My work is to understand and anayse the players I can use and change tactical disposition. We never change our ideas, but I have to put my players in the best condition. We played a great game today until the red card. One of the best of the season."

"Lewis Dunk made a mistake. Maybe he's like his gaffer in terms of emotion and passion!"
