Radio caller saying Glastonbury doesn't get the same level of publicity because it's full of white people.
That would be Glastonbury which gets 4 days solid coverage on the national broadcaster, I assume?

I think most people are missing my point.

What can you do in Sussex that you can't do in London ? Why did your priorities change ?
Go to the beach. Walk on the Downs. Go to a country pub. Send your kids to a nice school without having to pay. There are absolutely loads of things.

Why did my priorities change when I had kids, seriously!? What a completely bizarre question.

Lyme Regis
Fine sentiments Crodo but we went last year and it is definitely NOT one of the great cultural events.

Unless of course you mean that by wading through an ankle-deep carpet of used gas canisters, wondering whether the bloke you glanced at is going to stab you and queuing up to use private house toilets for £5 a pop is cultural, then yes, agreed.

Just to clarify it's actually still a fiver if you want a wee and a tenner if you need a poo.

As for the living in London debate, I quite literally wouldn't want to live in London even if you paid me. Lyme Regis knocks the spots on pretty much anything London has to offer to live. I love London for events but I would absolutely hate living there.

Watch Brighton mid-week without getting home after midnight.

Go to the beach.

Walk the dog on The Downs.

Visit Billingshurst

Watch Lewes v Whitehawk with a pint of Harvey's

Spend the day in Worthing 'just because'.

Buy a house for under £500,000

Go to a local pub full of all your friends before a Brighton match without having to set off at 9am

Bluebell railway with the kids

Get a ferry from Newhaven after a short drive

Eat a steak that hasn't been wrapped in gold leaf by a mad grifter

Cycle on country roads

Get organic eggs that have been laid that day from Mac's Farm

Go to a country pub

Walk the dog on the beach
Different strokes for different folks I guess !

Worthing and billingshurt cause me physical pain to visit.

I’m not gonna be satisfied with some average Sussex steak joint when I’ve got some of the best around near me already.

The beach I will give you …. But let’s face it most of the beaches in Sussex are awful. The Brighton match one also I agree with ;)

Do you ever stop to consider what a strange chap (or woman) you are?
Anyone could be forgiven for thinking that you're purely here to troll (and that's awful, if so), or simply to be a pain in the arse.
That said, if you had some kind of disability, that would kinda absolve you of any blame.
If so, please mention it so it can be taken into account.
Cheers.
Well I had to take you off ignore, because I can see from the post below you are still targeting me. I put you on ignore because of your previous ignorance off my dyslexia on another thread, but I think I will reply just once more to you.
Trolling is when someone posts or comments online to 'bait' people, which means deliberately provoking an argument or emotional reaction.

Okay with this in mind it is you who is trolling me then.

This is a forum of views that differ this does not mean I am trolling as this is my view I could easily turn the troll button on about 80% of political debates, but I don't.
They are my views I follow no particular poster around the board.

If I unable to right this in an correct manner because of my dyslexia, it's because I don't have that ability to structure my grammar in a way that suits, please read around this, this is me, in real life you would know because you would see there was no harm by what I said.

I hope you don't go around accusing people in wheelchairs that they are faking it, this is direct abuse.
Back on ignore to you.
Just out of curiosity, at the end of last week I checked how many of his/her posts had contained the word "dyslexia" since he/she had been posting. 53 (yep, fifty-three) of his/her 400 or so posts had included the word, in the space of about six weeks.

So very sad that you do this are you really following me that closely?
This is a very worrying thing to be doing.
Why would you do this?

Just as a completely random and hypothetical example off the top of my head, trolling can also be when someone with a history of bans from a social media site strops off and asks for their data to be deleted, only to return some time later with a totally different user name, plus a myriad range of conditions, because they've noticed that people they previously disagreed with have subsequently disclosed a diagnosis and they can both mock and hide behind it. And also to play the victim with.

Let's hope no one's doing that, eh?

£400M it is suggested it brings in to the local economy over 2 days so good luck getting that ‘banned’
Assuming that £400M is before the cost of Policing , court & legal matters , hospital treatment, admin , clean up etc whatever that is and also not forgetting those business that have had to shut up and board up their premises who have not benefited from the event , then what is actually left ,I wonder .

For some reason you seem to be targeting and accusing me of a myriad of things, why would you do this?

I was warned of characters such as yourself via pm, they weren't wrong were they?

or was this you under a different username trying to push me out?

Do you feel this is a good attitude to have as a moderator?

I think the saying is keep your hair on, anyway I am not one to pick on wrong words.

I seem to have got off on the wrong foot with you for some reason, I hope it isn't just over politics?

Anyway you banned me for 7 days for calling someone a dick head, I hope your will apply the same to the poster that called me a prick?

A two tiered approach on here from a moderator would not be a great look methinks.

Am I a nerd? For sure.

But it took about 37 seconds to perform that search (I've just timed myself repeating it). I'm not convinced it materially affected the quality of my Friday.

Anyway, I live in Arizona and it's August - if anything, I need to get out LESS.

Anyway, has there been anybody taken to court over the stabbings yet as I genuinely don't know.
Keir needs to get right on top of this police bashing too.
🤞 he will be all over it.

Please pm me a genuine reason as I would like to know.

Precious childhood memories of a place I lived growing up - wonderful times dating back over 50 years ago, of family members now dead . I think they probaby stopped the donkeys on Hampstead Heath in the late ‘60s
I did work out for myself you were taking about many, many years ago.
I also worked out the other people taking about Hampstead were talking about more recent times.

You're trolling.
Lets be grown ups here. What I say you don't like, what you say I disagree with too, have you ever thought that I feel I am being baited by some, and you seem to be in the mix too. So you're trolling me.
We can use pm not to annoy others on this thread like adults?

I think with the more publicised incident over the stabbing of a young woman someone has been charged with attempted murder and a couple of other arrests…..regarding all the other stabbings that have occurred and other criminal incidents i cant help you…regarding going to court there isn’t any info that i can see…but if i had to guess ..I’d doubt any would have been brought to court as yet…and i’m sympathetic to the point you are making.

However, my thoughts are with those who have been stabbed and that they recover. Hopefully the police/courts will deal severely and speedily with the perpetrators
