In many seasons there is a team whose form nosedives and they drop precipitously down the table. Turns out this season it's us. A very good job the real rot set it just a little bit too late for it to be dangerous.

The whole profit thing is irrelevant . . .TB has bank rolled us for years, its just efficient accounting . . . . I'm sure funds are and have been available for the right players at all times. . . .that has not and is not the current problem.

A lot of the frustration is down to getting to tonked every other game. Can name so many now: Villa, Luton, Roma, Fulham, City, Bournemouth, any others?

Wolves at the Amex took the p1ss out of us second half, our defensive work was a disgrace.

I’m not really sure why you’re turning a light hearted thread into Who Do You Think You Are, but the point’s clearly sailed over your head.

I go away a lot and, when I go, I go with a bunch of lads from 18-60 years old, with no airs and graces and a love of a good drink and a joke. Most spend a large proportion of their disposable income on the Albion. They don’t do it for balance sheets and management consultant’s reports, do they?

Proper middle class people grow up around rugby, tennis, sailing and golf clubs. They don’t come near football whether it’s Whitehawk or the Albion in the Prem.

Maybe I should just sign off each post with “lol” and a Union flag emoji?

But that was through choice in fairness. Could easily have fielded an older, more experienced line up as well

I’m guessing that everyone being sarky about the £100m+ profit wasn’t around in the 90s, and has no recollection of us scraping along on zero money at Withdean.
I want this club to exist (and be thriving) in 10 years’ time (and beyond, obvs). I don’t want the strategy that has been so successful for the past decade to suddenly be ditched. De Zerbi is still learning - and he may have to carry on that learning elsewhere - but let’s not criticise the club for being prudent. Especially given our past
