Your right, nobody was moaning at the time, because we had faith in the manager that had just won a championship. Almost two years on, that faith is somewhat diminished.
Please don't put us all in the "didn't moan" camp. Murray was my favourite player at Withdean. Big, skilful, technically excellent and great in the air. He was an absolutely vital part of the League winning squad. And his strike rate was fabulous. I was gutted when he left and always thought it was a mistake.
What really f...s me off is the only 6 goals in his first season at Palace shite. He was adjusting and he was in a team playing a different way to Gus. BTW he destroyed Man Utd in the CC at Old Trafford. Now he's going to get 30+ goals for our deadly rivals. It was,with 100% hindsight which is always perfect, a huge mistake not to come to an agreement with Glenn Murray.
