This.

Partly due to my son and NS companion going away to uni in September. The thought of the whole malarkey of park n rides seems a bit off-putting after not going to the Amex since Feb 2020.

Bloom could complete up my mojo by bringing in a quality striker.

Let’s hope so eh.

Team, management and club wise the mojo is high. Fans constantly moaning about this or that player not signing is doing my head in. It’s the same every season, but it seems even more dull this year and it’s knocked the mojo.

Indeed. The only thing that irritates me is posters thinking that the club don't realise that we need to bring in a striker. And that they have no urgency.

I've barely given it a thought tbh, sure it will change once we get started

Voted 5.
Probably will change on the morning of the Watford match.

Not going to watch the Albion for a year and a half has made me realise I’m not as obsessed about football as maybe 5 years ago.
I think before Covid I was starting to look forward to a days drinking on a match day rather than the actual football.
I decided to have a break from drinking this year and it’s been 6 months so far, hopefully I can enjoy the football again without being hammered.

Sitting at home writing and screwing up endless little scraps of note pad as I try and work out what the team might be so I'm match fit for Hugo Rune's Potter's Picks thread.

It was an 8, after Getafe a 5. I wish I hadn’t gone to it. Not the football but the flipping prices hikes of EVERYTHING, if Barber could sell the oxygen he would. It’s not feeling much like a family club to me anymore right now.

First time since our League 2 days that I haven’t been excited for the new season.

Perhaps it’s because we have enjoyed some great football in the Euros. Perhaps it’s down to the wonderful achievements in the Olympics - but however much the club want to spin the pre-season, our squad is undoubtedly weaker than the last couple of seasons. Genuinely believe as it stands we will go down with a whimper & I haven’t said that in the previous 4 seasons.

Hope I am wrong of course.

8.

An unprecedented 5th consecutive season in the top flight.

An Academy turning out first team and international players.

A young, attacking, forward looking squad with a progressive positive manager.

Continued sensible ownership from a fan of the club.

It's a big fat 8 for me Jeff. More signings or not, can't wait to get back.

9. I hated watching the past season and a bit on the TV with empty stadiums so just being back is good enough for me at moment

Give it 5 games and us still struggling with hitting a cows arse with a banjo and might need to reassess my mojo

Being an away fan guest on here, I obviously didn’t vote in the poll.

If I had, it would have been 6-7.

Where is your Palace mojo?

Genuine question

8. Prediction top half finish. Not worried about our squad, if we do bring in another forward he's not guaranteed to score 20 goals, even if it was Kane. What will be will be. I remember going to Gillingham and withdean, just happy that I have a local team to support and that we are run well.

Six…defence weakened imho …attack not strengthened ….few injuries….fixture list has been kind to us, so on paper we have a chance to get a decent number of points on the board by the end of September hence the six

Ps but i am looking forward to a week Saturday…back in my normal seat for the first time since Feb 2020 and hopefully reacquainting myself with familiar faces

Excited, still watching cricket, meh?

Normally really excited pre season but the APPARENT lack of a decent new striker signing, and the news about Welbeck and lack of positive news on Lamptey has me down at 5

Sounds about right for me

WHere's the option for 'couldn't give a shit'?

Just been too busy recently . . . . .things may ( will) change at 3 pm on Saturday . . . . As long as there's running water in the house. . . .bathroom nearly finished!

About 6. Disappointing (obviously) that we haven't added any forwards yet but Mwepu looks like a very hand addition to the side, Biss is still here and the side we have are more than capable of finishing clear of the bottom 3. I genuinely think there are 6 or 7 teams that are weaker than us on paper- first time I've thought that going into a PL season.
