Not happy with Result tonight

Wow think I saw things differently to some. Played very well & nobody at all had a bad game - 7s minimum all round tonight. Thoroughly professional. Think a one goal win to us was right result - Wolves were good and it's natural they'll pressurise in last 5 mins - same as Preston did Saturday. Difference being Wolves were decent but Preston were fairly shit. 4 points from the 2 isn't bad although I'd have expected it the other way round if it happened.

Was horrible the last few mins and didn't agree with taking the pace off but football is like that usually - one side throw caution to the wind and the other have to defend for the last 5. No complaints here tonight after another very good performance - same as Saturday was. Such a delight to have this team representing BHA.

Wake up? Geez do likewise I was doing a favour by suggesting it was fishing...thread title not happy with result...we won...happier with a defeat or a draw? :moo:

Sometimes it's going to be about grinding out a result..that's the nature of the Championship...it happened tonight and it will happen again
:)

Nothing wrong with being happier with a 2 goal margin as a result tonight...and not hanging on by our finger tips for the 478th game in succession including the 6-nil against Blackpool. They very nearly got back in that game you know...:)

2-0 not a better RESULT? Remember going to Middlesbrough just behind on goal difference? Hmm? Remember LAST Saturday? Can we not just kill these teams off when they're being utterly mauled? Brighton are like Bond villains - always giving 007 an over elaborated death when a fecking bullet to the head and heart will do. I have noticed this down the years and that's why he ALWAYS hatches an escape plan and survives / comes back to haunt them. It's not rocket science. We need to become ruthless, bang bang bang and it's all over for Visitors FC. Thanks for coming.

Not being happy is a little OTT, the Am Drams are on show. I agree we need to kill teams off, but we won, three points, clean sheet, end of. I'm happy with the result, the last five mins however were a 'little' frustrating.

Nope, you just read differently and perhaps also settle for less / may have forgotten how many late goals cost us promotion last season. As you wrote, horrible end to the game and that happens far too often / has often cost us dear. That's my point. So we agree basically. Youre clear to add further comment if so wish ;)

does the fact that we have 8 clean sheets already this season not give you optimism that we will hold out for the win 95% of the time

No! Because it needs to be 96% to get promoted based on last season!!

You chose a very silly unrelated thread title then! I think I'm more a realist...

As for late goals, I said after Saturday's game we hadn't had a late, late one like that for a while. I can't remember too many last season & thought we saw a lot of games out well. Maybe Burnley home / Bolton away as late points thrown away off top of head (I'm sure there's more). But that's going to happen every season. If you're not happy with how this team plays and the stupidly small amount of games we've lost in the last 15 months, id say it's more your expectation levels being too high myself. All opinions of course...

Clean sheet, 3 points and I thought we had the better of the chances.

This is The Championship, decent sides will come here and enjoy lengthy spells of possession. Deal with it.

Wolves will win more than they lose, let's not be too critical when taking 3 points off them.

I couldn't agree more. Putting 5 in midfield is common sense. It won't work every time but no objection to trying to hang on.
