PS; I bought my CD-Rs in Tescos. TDK is meant to be a good make/brand name, but they do not work properly. Two had to be thrown away. I thought is was my CD-Writer at first, but I am inclined to think it is the discs.

Somerfield is cheaper than Tescos, but they do not have such a large range.

Taxi driver taking me to Withdean from Hove the other week was commiserating about Falmer and moaning about how Tesco can "build anywhere they bloody well like, they're taking over the town".

Not sure what his evidence was, but we were going past Cullens on The Droveway at the time, which apparently is going to be a new Tescos.

Yeah and Brother printers are not any good either!

I expect they were as bad as Manchester City's defence.

If they made printers down sath, at least we would be able to unnerstand their accent when something goes wrong with it.

This is because Tesco have taken over Adminstore who are the company that owns Cullens.

And I should have added that, as per their take over over One Stop, they intend running the acquired stores as small stores (Tesco Express) rather than using teh sites for expansion.

I notice that the One Stop in Queens Road has closed though.

I effing hate all supermarkets - especially Asda.

Here's how 'rollback the prices' actually works....

Joe Bloggs's company makes and sells nappies to Asda. Last year they produced the nappys (pack)for £3, sold them to Asda for £4 and Asda sold them for £5.
However this year things have changed - Asda want to 'roll back the difference' and sell the nappies for £4.50. Therefore they will only pay £3.50 to Joe Bloggs company. This means that Joes profit is cut in half, whereas the cost of his materials is increasing by 25p. Therefore Joes profit per item sold has changed from £1 to 25p.

Joe's company has gone into liquidation and will close next month. Joe has picked up an application form to work in the Asda warehouse so that he can pay the mortgage.

FACT - when a Walmart opened in an American town the average wage in that town fell by 20% in under a year.
Why?
Walmart undercut the local stores due to their mass buying power. Local stores could not compete and had to close. Walmart then took on these newly out of work people but paid them less than they were getting beforehand.

As i said - i hate supermarkets
