Really?? I know nobody in a Leicester shirt played that well on Saturday, but he started up front against Fleetwood and, frankly, was gash. And that was against two bog-standard clogging League 1 centre-halves. I couldn't believe it when the commentator said he cost £28mm.

Iheanacho is an odd one to work out. Didn't get much game time at City but when he played he always seemed to do well. Got a big money move to Leicester - assumedly to get more first team football and can't seem to get near the team. I'm not surprised there are rumour about Leicester be prepared to sell, but he'd be too costly in both fee and wages for us.

It really is a complete failure of recruitment by the Leicester owners. They win the league, and with the attention and champions league qualification and money and everything they have a real chance to push on and build a dynasty. And what do they do? Buy a load of ultimately overpriced strikers and give virtually no attention to the rest of the team. Two years on they are still playing largely the same team, feels like an opportunity missed.

Agreed. It also shows what a gamble it is to spend big money on strikers without a lot of PL experience. Slimani was highly rated and Iheanacho did well in cameo appearances for City but combined cost £53m and produced nothing of note. I'm sure we'd all have been delighted to sign a player of this calibre at the start of the season; it just goes to show the difficulty of the task we have in finding a good striker. Big money on any player without a proven track record in a decent league is a gamble but it's one we're going to have to take.

Reports that it is £45k per week for the top earners., who they are I leave you to think as I dont know. and have very little idea except those rthat have signed new or improved contracts.

Hard to find any serious sites that have any idea who we are linked with.
Sporting life have a 'Paper Talk' feature on their site and they mention everybody else but us and when they dp the info is usually trivial.
This is the latest apparently.

So, only expect one player then.
