What kind of tinpot dreamers would want the club to be far outside of Brighton? No reality in those ideas, so we can assume that those plans were distractions to the reality of a fading club.

What stops businessmen spending 80 million on a club they love and want to survive? A fellow fan throwing a late lifeline in desparation stops them in their tracks? "oh NO, we CAN'T save the club we love and spend millions on buying a ground, this relatively poor bloke has leapt in a SPOILED that plan completely". Like someone already said - what is stopping these millionaires from donating a few shekels now??

Who's kidding who here?
I think someone may have already been hoodwinked blinded and hook-line-and-sinkered to plough through this stuff in an attempt to nurture believers and sympathisers.
Who cares anway, the club lives in the present and the past can't be changed now.
Screw that, the path forward is building on the slim hopes and chances, and keeping BHAFC in existence - and getting a stadium in a city and county that needs and deserves to have one.

If it snows later today, the West Pier will make a historic picture.

It will still be a bridge going nowhere, and it was never much use really.

I expect Brighton will join the 21st century one day ???

FFS BG you really have turned the corner of being a total to$$er.

You have lost all your kudos with this posting:

You are BHAFC past, we are BHAFC future

The rest about DK is history now but yes I am bitter towards him although I do appreciate what he has done because I feel that his appointment was a lost opportunity for us and that had we stuck with the other three or brought in my consortium we would PROBABLY have a new ground by now.

You have horribly failed to convice me BG, so don't nother trying in future.

That quote from your first post is just plain shit. What you are saying is that YOU didn't get YOUR friends on the board, and you are bitter? f***ing hell... What stopped you getting your friends on the board when Archer and Bellotti ran into so much trouble? Dick Knight came forward BUT you didn't?

Presumably you and your consortium knew the planning system well enough to be confident of getting the new ground where so many had failed for the previous 20-odd years?

And Dick Knight was not appointed, he picked up the club when no-one wanted to touch it - including you. He inherited nothing but problems. Like Beachy said, your moment has gone. Every post about Dick Knight you make in future is going to be tainted with bitterness.

Stick to boozing.

In summary, then:
- you don't want Falmer
- you don't want the club to get its own ground
- you'll watch it die.

Because that's what's going to happen if your scenario plays out.

I do not know how you manage to deduce that from my posts.

You could not be further from the truth.

I do want a ground whether it be Falmer or somewhere else I do not care, but the club have said that Falmer is the best option and spent a fortune trying to prove this so like most of the supporters I have accepted this and will offer my support in any manner that I can what I will not do is 'stand up you want Falmer' because you are preaching to the converted who are already in Withdean and even if the TV cameras are there they very rarely puck up the chants. So to me this chant is pointless if that makes me a non-supporter in the eyes of some then so be it.

BensGrandad, I am one of those simple souls who start the "Stand Up.." chant. If like you profess, you are a football fan, you may well be aware of atmosphere. Singing "Stand Up.." is just part of trying to create some atmosphere at our hovel of a home.

I don't care if you like the song, and likewise I don't care for your postings. But part of belonging to this club is diversity, and yes, the chant is possibly preaching to the converted, but now and again the whole crowd join in. This must give everyone enjoyed with the club a lift. Heaven alone knows, most of us could do with one now and again.

I fully accept your view as to creating an atmosphere what I do not like is the looks of other surrounding supporters when anybody doesnt stand up.

I do not stand up, but then I do not sing or chant at Football either, but hat doesnt mean that I want a new ground any the less.

I don't particuarly like them as a club, but I think Stoke do make a fair noise at home.
