Hi everyone

Just put up on Ticket Exchange two tickets for the Villa game. Only two tickets that are together, something has come up and we can't make it down from Cambridge.
Area S1I Row Z; Seat 217 and 216
Excellent seats, we get to the bus queue quickly!

Good luck with that.

There are currently 1858 tickets available on the exchange!
Its a shame somebody at the club doesn't think -

Hey great marketing opportunity, I know we will have to take a hit but rather than 1,800 seats which will currently be empty on Sunday, how about we say, look folks we are removing the "have to pay adult prices" restriction for this game so one adult + one kid (or over 60) can attend without having to both pay the adult rate. They could ring he club now to get it arranged.

Don't think the club should be encouraging any young/new/neutral fans right now. Could kill their enthusiasm forever.

At both Haywards Heath and London Bridge stations yesterday & today there have been big adverts on the screens for the next Chelsea match (I think for hospitality seats).

Perhaps the OP could try that to shift his tickets....

I do agree with your idea, but also can see why it isn't immediately appealing to the club.

The club have successfully sold these tickets once. They have that money in the bank (or rather in James Milner's bank account - but that's another thread altogether)

If the OP's tickets re-sell, the club will be refunding him £70.00+ of that money. If they only recoup say £40.00 of it by selling them as an U16 and an U10, then they've incurred a chunk of additional admin, AND given away £30.00.

There is no incentive for them to want to do that - unless they feel that effectively paying to encourage newcomers to attend is worthwhile, in terms of potential future revenues.

Also - as discussed ahead of the City match, when there were just as many resale tickets available - 1,800 tickets on the exchange does not ultimately equate to 1,800 empty seats - as there are some fans that are currently unfussed who have speculatively listed their tickets, but who, in the event they do not sell, will just come along anyway.

Itds be the thin edge of a wedge. Concessions would expect low prices for the Chelsea and Manure losses.

Versus the no-shows who can't be arsed or are deterred on this occasion to use the Exchange.
