Norwich fan here.

The traditional away pub, opposite the train station has changed to home fans only (the Complete Angler). This is supposedly the new away 'pub': https://www.facebook.com/WaterfrontFootball That'll be the place to go for lager and a sing-song. I'd avoid the bars on Riverside - they'll be vehemently home fans only / Weatherspoons / pre-club pubs etc- the biggest being the Queen of Iceni.

If you want some old fashioned real-ale/craft pubs near the ground that are happy for both sets of fans behaving themselves, then:

I've done a lot of business in Norwich over the years, so have a good feel for the place.

It's like a little 'bubble' - a bit like Liverpool, but less crime. The town centre is a mixture of Swindon and York, and the locals are a mixture of Swansea and Reading.

Funny old place. I'm not saying it's bad - at all. It's a lovely, historical place with some lovely buildings. It's just.. a bit odd.

Make of that what you will. :lolol:

Rubbish.

I tell you what, we all know what the locals are a mixture of; Norwich & Norwich. We’ve all seen the boss-eyed, big eared boys lined up at the train station grinning inanely at us when we arrive. They really don’t like outsiders, they like to stick to their own.

I understand the Queen of Iceni, a JD Wetherspoon pub, is a very popular haunt and has some excellent reviews on Trip Advisor.

Crodo, your in-character line of bants is obviously unfailingly hilarious.... but purposely directing Albion fans to make their way to a pub that isn't going to let them in, is pretty unhelpful.

Good info Fleckster; I hope Norwich get a change of fortune soon but obviously not starting tomorrow...
