I read somewhere about a month ago that Fulham were interested. To be honest, it is no great surprise given his performances this season. He would be extremely hard to replace.

I really hope we haven't gone back to be a selling club again for every half decent offer that comes in. The trouble is, it is not the club, it is often the players themselves who want to move and that makes it very difficult.

Thats a good stat. So considering that and where we are thats about right on target.

Which is why we need to keep ambitious and be very considerate when buying players - if only to compliment the few excellent ones we do have.
Otherwise, they are off as soon as ANY Prem club comes in for them.

If Bridcutt or any of our players have personal ambition to play against (or with) the likes of Rooney, Drogba, Henry (all of a sudden back in the prem) Modric and Gerrard, and be on a plateau for possible international call-up, then they want to get to the Premiership asap. 1. Any Championship team who pay modest wages to good players runs the risk of losing those players. Do what you can to persuade them to stay, but once they're off then get the best price. I think in recent years the club's got a very good record for getting a good price for players sold.

2. Presumably the club already scouts for players to bring in should they lose any of the spine. We'd lined up CMS, Lua Lua and Buckley to replace Murray and Bennett so, again, the club has done well in this area too.

3. The threat of losing players like Dunk, Bridcutt and Noone will be reduced once we have the extra capacity. Bloom has wasted no time in submitting the plans for approval so, again, the club has done what it can.

How many billions would Tony Bloom need to have to be a "multi" billionnaire?

Muzza was out of contract at the end of last season. The Pikeys are now paying him more than what we thought he was worth and over a 3 year period.

Murray was out of contract, so there was no question of ever getting a fee. If we'd sold him in the earlier window we might not have got promoted.
Crofts - Yeah, £1million was a good deal for a bloke who, prior to his one season with us, had appeared 25 times on loan for Peterborough and Wrexham, scoring 1 goal.
Bennett - £1.5million, according to most sources. A good price for a bloke unproven in the top 2 divisions.

Calm down everyone. We held on to Bennett in the last January transfer window and will hold on to Bridcutt this transfer window. Don't forget any club has to get past Tony "The Lizard" Bloom first! What happens in the summer may be a different matter but with a new recuruitment team in place I'm sure we will sign better replacements. Keep the faith.
