No Slade will get it right, he has proven that, now all we need is for the guys who pull the shirts on to follow Russells example & start playing for him.

I don't think Bloom will put up with the shit we had last season. Slade is not Bloom's choice. DK wanted him and after all he was 3rd choice anyway. Bloom was duty bound to give him the gig after we stayed up but was ready to pull the trigger. The start of the season has been complete SHIT HOUSE and his new signings like Dickenson looking crap. The omens are not good for Russell. He looks like a dead man walking to me.

Strange timing. Presumably its off the back of last week's drubbing, so is it really necessary/helpful for the team to leave it until 5pm Friday? Especially seeing, as another poster pointed out, that they got a pretty good result on Tuesday.

Like when we sacked Adams last year.

I thought it had been too quiet on the US front.

Your comment of "He looks like a dead man walking to me" means we are dead certs to win the league in that case.

Is this the same man who not only backed MA but was prepared to put money on it?

Did you see the game last saturday in which the second half was probably better than just about anything seen under MA?

Be a good boy and give the man a chance before you put the knife in :wrong: :wrong:

To a degree, I agree with you, but what worries me is if the rumours are true Bloom's choice of manager is Gary Stevens and I DO NOT want to see that. To coin one of Ernest's favourite phrases we need a TRIED and TESTED manager !

Gary Stevens. The man will never manage Brighton, but people will always say he's a "favourite" of so and so to do so. It's an incredible rumour, I can't believe how much air time it gets on this forum.

Bloom will not sack Slade this season, because he understands that success doesn't happen staight away. Look at Swansea who battered us the other night. Martinez finished 7th in his first season with a bigger budget than we've had, they stuck by him because he was building something good like Slade is now, and they won the league before performing brilliantly in the Championship last season and now they're established at that level and looking to progess. Swansea are a very good blue print for us to follow.

Delia screwed up by appointing him in the first place.

BTW, what's happened to his FACE?

You laugh at it, but I think there was a very good chance if Slade hadn't kept us up Stevens would have been in. Loved him as a player but I hope I don't see him as manager any time soon !

FFS get behind the manager and the team!

He is an experienced and well respected football manager, I'm not even going down the Salde out route!

Its simply not and option, he is best man for the job and we have nearly an entire new squad. I for one will be happy to finish mid table with worryingly 45 games to go, so we've lost two, so what!? ?

We have played two games! Bit stupid to be calling for Slade's head already. Remember without him we'd be in league two right now.

We assured Bloom will sack Slade if we are in the arse end of the league come Xmas. This " sucess does not come overnight " is a tired old cliche now. We hve 3 sesons since we outrageously sacked McGhee and have gone severely backwards. The football has been UTTER SHITHOUSE for 90% of that time and we need to show a little bit of ambition now and not be satisfied with mid table in the 3rd division as most on here seem to aspire to as our goal.

The bookies have just installed RS as favourite to last the whole season.

As far as Naaaarich is concerned :laugh::laugh::laugh:

Lets face it,Gunn took Norwich down (along with the players) his win ratio is something like 31% in an industry that is results based, you are out on that record. Be interesting to see how long Barnes lasts at Tranmere.
