That sounds like an odd decision if true. Norwich poached the director of football from Huddersfield and now he's just repeating the same trick he did with Wagner basically. Chances of it working twice are not good I'd have thought.

Here
Delia obviously fancies getting a bit of German in. Look for another team of gengen pressing duracell bunnies

It's funny how football trends:

"Look at Huddersfield, get us a No.2 from a German club...", "...what about an English no.2, plenty of them about...?", "No, they've got to be German...find one!", "Ok, on it.."

Trouble is, not that simple is it. Predict this will end in tears and Norwich will blow their 2nd chance of returning to Premier. 2 more left...!

We are bringing in coaches we don’t know about. I just wish we would start using some of our young blokes.”

Like Alex Neil? Or Neil Adams? Chris Hughton, Paul Lambert, or Bryan Gunn perhaps?

Why can't we give British Managers a chance!!! Are they really so bad?
If you look at their recent list of managers you'll see they've already tried that. Indeed unlike nearly every club in the land Farke is their first EVER manager who is not from the British Isles.

Unfortunately when a manager leaves in England it is the usual list of failures that apply as obviously they are desperate for a job.
.

True. Given that Norwich have in the past been the most enthusiastic supporters of 'young British managers' and now want to move away from that the only homegrown alternative is 'old British failures'. Take your pick, it's a long list.

Interesting that Huddersfield, Reading and Fulham all appointed young foreign coaches in the summer and all had excellent seasons finishing in the play offs. Maybe there is something in casting your net wide rather than just going down the list of usual suspects.

I think there is something in looking further afield and you should appoint who you think is best for your club. However along with each successful one there is likely to be one not so successful. Don't need to look to far afield to highlight hyypia as one.
