hello guys, been reading the thread about elliot bennett and just wanted to post a few bits!

firstly, well done on the league position, my bet on you guys winning the league isnt looking to bad at the minute. poyet looks a credit to the club and your playing some really nice football.

about the whole elliot bennett argument. I wouldnt be hugely worried to be honest. Every cracking young player under the sun we have been linked with. weve got lansbury in on loan, but hes gone back now, and even if he does come back hes being played behind the striker in a free role, so we dont have a right mid. Was just looking at the valutations you guys are saying, and to be honest i cant see norwich matching that atall. We spent 1 million on surman, but thats the most we have spent since robert earnshaw 4 or 5 years ago. If 1 or 2 million is what the board are really looking for, i cant see norwich matching that.

The only other thing ive seen, is a money plus anthony mcnamee for bennett. hes a right winger who lambert doesnt seem to rate, but hes really attacking, and was left out of the lineup all together yesterday.

Lambert has said he wants 1 more player, but looking at the squad we already have 8 midfielders, and we are lacking a striker. martin and jackson are looking off the pace and we need some1 to play with holty.

I hope your right. Bennett's the best young players we've had since Zamora in my opinion. Losing him would be absolutely catastrophic for us. Good luck with the rest of the season

Hope you are right too. Bennett is a cracking player but ultimately money talks, and if you offer to double his wages then he would be a fool not to consider it.

Whether he is the type of player who would contribute if you are promoted is another matter.

On a separate issue, still happy with Crofty?

player of the season by a country mile. we play a diamond midfield formation and he sits infront of the defender. superb ball winner, gives it to a winger and sprints into the box time after time.

He had a very chequered start with us but once he got his act together was way ahead of anyone else we had at the time.

Yes how is Crofts getting on? When he was here I said due to the type of player he was he could "do a job" in the Premeirship. With regards to Bennett he is seriousy worth over 2 million, 19 assists or whatever it is puts validity to that price and considering half the season is still to be played I would say he's worth more. Genuinley, he is pure class.

Sounds like Crofts has made his mark well. Wonder if he is being scouted by any prem clubs? Any concerns of losing him NC?

crofts does look a talent. i think he could do a job in the premiership also, but im hoping that would be with us! weve had a good season, lambert seems to have a nack of getting players from lower leagues and performing. russell martin from pboro, crofts from you guys, jackson from gills.

cant blame the palace fan for taking the piss out of the family, cant really use his clubs footballing abilities against me can he!

Lambert does seem to have a good knack. Concerned maybe he could be gone before you make it to the Prem?

That's going to be our problem. Gus has said before that he wouldn't stand in the way of a player who wanted to leave. Remember that Crofts had a year left on his contract when we sold him, we could've played hard ball and rejected that. Whether we reject an offer or not, Bennett's agent will be talking to other clubs and will know what kind of money he can get.
