Not the worst half we've ever played, but not the best.

Initially thought that Mooy was going to struggle down the right with their FB pushing up at any given opportunity, but it paid off as it was a lovely cross. He's got the willing to track back, just not the pace.

Burn isn't having a terrific game, surprised we didn't go with the pace of Bernardo but still time. Trossard looks good, Lamptey is awesome and Connolly looks up for it, but really, really needs a goal soon.

OK first half.

First 20 minutes very poor, but at the same time sensible as we have been looking to get them on the counter... and it worked.

Mooy is a creative masterclass.

Connolly having another poor game - does a lot of falling over and not a lot else.

Not a lot to say other than that. We look comfortable.

I'll take 'look comfortable' all day long. We do so far but I worry a bit if/when Can't well comes on because Hernandez might get his opportunity

Although Norwich are poor, we do need another goal

Are they that poor? Hernandez and Buendia are excellent. They play some good stuff, get bodied forward but crucially do make bad mistakes, they also overplay and could get more shots off. I’d swoop in for Hernandez in the summer in a heart beat.

We’ve also been poor on the ball at times, Bissouma doesn’t quite look his normal self and I note Mooy and Propper have been swapping to try to get more control in midfield.

Big 45mins this as they’ve got a goal in them any moment we switch off.

Listening on TalkShite, lots of compliments for Brighton's play and from Potter's style and Hughton's legendary defence from the summariser although the main commentator is all over the place with what's happening, at about 40 minutes in " just entering the final 45 minutes " ?

So far so good, but it definitely feels like we need a second goal to kill this off.

This. Weird atmosphere and not just because no crowd. Terrible football but I’ll take the score!

Decent half but most importantly better with each minute. Another goal and its basically done, because they are pretty poor except for Hernandez. Expect to see Cantwell and Pukki coming on for them now, but it shouldnt matter too much - they might get a bit of an advantage the first ten of second half, but they have been working their asses off (for nothing) so I'm very hopeful this will result in a great three points.

That moment with five in the box on the break sums us up. Absolute panic mixed with WTF do we do. And the chance is gone, Maupauy eventually air kicking and landed on his backside.

Think Palace got a decent chance of getting a point or three later, could still be a great day for you guys.

Onus on Norwich to change things.
Propper and Bissouma not at their usual levels.
Pukki and Cantwell will be on soon and we will need to up our game in the second half to secure this.

I could amputate my hands to count on one hand how many of the norwich players think they can get out of the relegation zone

We give the ball away under no pressure and don't pick men up in midfield. Norwich are poor enough for it not to cost us but they could get lucky.

Think Farke is out of his depth. A lot of decent players on a shoestring budget but tactics are letting them down. Should have learnt from Fulham.

Norwich are poor but they have had enough possession in your area to cause concern. Second goal for Brighton will seal this and the league

We need 2 more goals at least. Pukki and Cantwell yet to come on and Im thinking it will happen sooner rather than later

This is the kind of game where Álzate would thrive. Shame about the injury, which is clearly more serious than Potter was letting on.
