If we go down we won't need new strikers.

Looks like he's gonna get into double figures again. Wouldn't cost too much. As I've been saying for the last 2 seasons this one is a no brainer. Would sacrifice welbz for him.

I'm thinking "no".
What's your reasoning? He score 1 in 3 in the EPL. Where are you gonna get gauranteed goals like that for the money ? And/or players that actually want to sign for us?

Great bench option next season. Should have signed him 2 seasons ago.

He’s scored 8 exactly the same as Maupay.

He is 32, his goal record is fine but not better than anything currently in the club, he works hard but overall he is bang average, a worse version of Neal Maupay. I'd rather take a punt at someone who could possibly score a goal every 250th minute rather than someone who is "guaranteed" to do it every 318th.

Not sure how you work out he's worse than maupay when he has a higher games to goal ratio in the EPL with a FAR worse team.

Maupay 21/22 = 266 minutes per goal
Pukki 21/22 = 318 minutes per goal

Maupay 19/20 = 277 minutes per goal
Pukki 19/20 = 263 minutes per goal

Of course penalties also count but it is worth noting that 26% out of Pukkis PL goals are penalties.

Pukki is indeed playing in a worse team, but he is also playing in a team where pretty much all of their attacking play revolves around getting him on the ball which I dont think could be said about Brighton and Maup/Welbeck.

Why don’t we ever get defending like that? We can only score well worked goals.

Pukki : Too good for the Championship, not good enough for the Premier League.

A bit like my Avatar namesake Mr Knockaert.
So getting into double figures goalwise in his 2 seasons in the EPL in a sh1t teams is not good enough ??

Its a decent goal record in the PL, quite obvious he is not "too bad" for the league.

Just nothing special and at 32, unlikely to get any better especially as his pace is important to his game.
