Bennett hasn't exactly lit up Carrow Road yet. I would say we got a fair price
If he'd lit up the premier league he'd be worth 10s of millions. He'd be an excellent player in the Championship and I think he went a bit below value.

Have we? Crofts couldn't hack it in the premiership so came back and Bennett hasn't exactly lit up Carrow Road yet. I would say we got a fair price for both.

Crofts was an integral part of the team that got them into the Premier League and we'd be paying a lot more than 1.5 million for a player like Bennett. Crofts was allegedly 300k, again a bargain given his goals and contribution to Norwich's promotion. It's all about opinions but I'd say both went for a bargain price, however we were not in a position to hold on to them as we were at Withdean and probably needed the money. We do not need to sell Bridcutt and if we do we should hold out for a lot more than 3 million, the guy is only 23 ffs.

If this story is even remotely true then Norwich's £3m bid would only be an opening gambit anyway.

But to be honest I would be stunned if we entertained any bid south of £6m. With the signing of Ulloa and our apparent £2m bid for Virgel Va Dijk then it seems that we are going large on a promotion bid...If not this season, then definitely next. So to sell "the best defensive midfielder in Championship", to quote Poyet would seriously set out Premier League dream back somewhat therefore I cannot see it happening.

It certainly looks that way Mr Thimble.

Bridcutt is the one player we can't afford to lose. He is literally the last player we should consider selling.

I think that we get carried away with our player valuations £3m for a player we signed for nothing is good business and I believe TB would consider it but I hope that it is a false rumour and we don't sell him. I seem to remember people talking 12 months ago about £1m + for Dunk !

Still more chance of them coming for CMS, if Hooper and Celtic keep turning them down

Now you're talking. Sell them CMS for £3Mil instead along with a "now feck off and never come back for another Albion player" clause. Everyone's a winner

Maybe you are right on valuations but as to worth for the club then that far exceeds £3m as we are chasing the money land of the Premier League and the riches it brings. To put things into perspective, would Palace be able to command half of what they are likely to recieve from Man U for Zaha if they were fannying around at the bottom of the league with little or no prospects of promtion? I very much doubt it.

Dear Norwich,

Please leave our team alone, and spend some money on your floodlights and the rest of your dilapidated ground. Whilst you may consider these points, I was served the some of the worst pies and snacks I have ever had at any venue.

Now please run along, and look elsewhere,

Pilkington same age, went for £1.75M. He is one of the better midfielders in the prem, strike rate of 1 goal every 4.5 games.

Bennett was a fair price, Pilkington was a steal.

I think that we would sell. Part of the way that we attract good players is by showing them that we will sell if the right offer comes in. That said £3m is not or anything like good enough to tempt us. I would want in excess of £5m as he is so important to the team.

About 5 is right. At that price while we'd rather keep him we'd have to let him go if he wanted to. If some of it is over time or reliant on them staying up etc. could see it still, but 3 million we'd surely tell them where to go!

Bridcutt is not going anywhere for less than 5m.to think that we only signed him as cover for Alan Navarro who he got injured at Northampton in the league cup

To be fair, Crofts isn't really hacking it in the Championship either.

£6M seems a fair price for the level of talent he displays.
