Has anybody looked at the previous week's one?

Someone scored 319 not out, another hit an ELEVEN BALL fifty, and the winner, in a school's match, took all ten wickets for SEVEN runs.

Decent

That's ridiculous, I think I've only played in one match where my TEAM has scored that many runs. You've got to wonder who the opposition were. I'm guessing they only had seven players, none of whom had ever bowled before.

It doesn't give any details / background, sadly.

I've played in three (40 over) games where a team-mate has scored 200+ (2 of them Brighton League matches), and one where our openers put on over 300 for the first wicket.

319 is mental though.

The young lad's 10 for 7 included FIVE wickets in his first over!

I've done a bit of digging.

Horwich RMI CC - 2nd XI - Won by 448 runs :lolol:
He's just competed in an ironman so he's obviously a MACHINE. It also helped that the opposition only had 9 players.

The 10/7 was in an Under-13s Prep School competition.

Coincidentally, I know both teams. I've played away at Horwich RMI myself, and my nephew went to (and broke cricket records at) St.Olaves prep school.

A bit of digging has uncovered a counter campaign elsewhere for Mr Beesley. The challenge has been set.

Done but only because I hope both the top two get disqualified for blatant vote rigging. What a hollow 'victory' it would be, what's the point? Etc., etc.

When you see the prizes you'll realise the whole thing is one big laugh.
