North corners

i was looking around the ground yesterday and im prob like a lot of old goldstone/withdean regulars still gobsmacked by the ground..the south corners being filled in and east upper has transformed the ground.
hope we can make this a real cauldron of noise and a place away teams hate to come to.

What are they doing above the South stand ? I have totally lost track of all this work!

5 more corporate boxes. One was going to be for Sky/TV use, when TV didn't need it was going to be sold match by match. But now we have permanent one at north end! Guess club feel its better to sell all 5 boxes on ten year plans.

Heard from a builder as soon as octoboer, but also heard its been moved forward to december. Will find out soon i suppose

I'm pretty certain that progress to date will finish today, and future progress will finish soon.

Forgive me for being stupid, but how are they going to start that work whilst games are taking place at the ground?

you would be amazed at what us builders can do these days, we put a new mezzanine level into London City Airport including 35No 19m Piles and the airport never closed once!! They will do it no problem at all.

Heard last night that there starting working on the north corners one at a time from Monday

7 new boxes holding 20 instead of the West stands 10. 2 new hospitality lounges. TV studio now completed in the North. Players lounge in south west corner too

Think they should finish the SW first- lots to do backstage!

Not sure how NW could be done during the season- you need to see the mess behind the SW to see the amount of work going on back there. NW would appear to be almost a free standing tier, unlike the SW which is mainly dug in to the hill- very different feel to the North concourse.

More or less a mirror of the SW, but in the NW. That could be a good spot if you want to sing but don't want to sit too low. Bargain too if priced like the SW.

hopefully the north corners will add lot more atmosphere as the singing spreads from north better to east and west stands..must say i heard the south and east sing from west upper last night,lets get the ground rocking

They reckon all the south will be done by then. sections of the north will be closed off while works are carried out as to how not got a clue.
