Wisdom sports had a shop in duke street BrightonAs already mentioned he had a property in East Chiltington,he also had an ocean going yacht based in Shoreham harbour. His son, Nicky, had one or two sports shops in East Sussex,Great man. I worked in a builders merchants in Hove that supplied a lot of bits for his yacht including baths made to his own colour scheme!.At this time he was the highest paid entertainer in the world!

His ex-wife lives next door to my mum and dad.
(I fell through her hedge once, in an attempt to cheer her up. It didn't work).
Apparently he was an arrogant so&so
Anyone remember the words to this version?
From 13 seconds in it sounds like ...
We're always fair, we never swear
But now it's ? ? time
So shall the ? score? (crowd response "NO!")
Clap your hands until they're sore (clap clap clap)
Cos we're going up and we'll win the cup
etc
All seems a bit twee these days but I would have scuttled across the park in me duffle coat after the game to get home for tea and James Alexander Gordon (except it was someone else then).
